The mentally weak statement seems to be directed Sreesanth' date=' which in a way is right,[/quote'] He is as gullible as they come. His father's comment about Dhoni (even though he took it back) was in poor taste.

Yeah. Moreover his on field antics never went down well with Dhoni.

I don't think anyone can put up with his tantrums. Even the bookies had a problem with him.

If I were in his place' date=' I'd have done the same thing. Indian media do not deserve any explanation for all the mud they throw, he has given some explanations to foreign media.[/quote'] Its not about answering mediawallahs.they are just a tool. Its about convincing a fan that everything will be right.A common Indian fan is disillusioned right now.even a PC statement from the Indian captain could have had the effect of restoring belief in Indian cricket and told people that there is somebody who genuinely cares and will try to make everything alright. That the incident was a one-off and Indian cricketers are by and large honest similar statement was ofcourse given by Srini but it nearly doesnt have the same effect Not saying whether he was right or wrong, but a statement would have been nice, even if useless

These media events are basically goodwill exercises. These are meant for sending goodwill to the team. But all we saw was bad blood. N Srinivasan is dismayed that MS Dhoni was asked questions about the spot-fixing scandal at a press conference
Even Mayappan dont get this much support from Seeni :winky:

Why'd Srini support Meiyappan? He's the one who got CSK and Srini in all this trouble.

But why are you relating Indian team to IPL? People losing trust in IPL, not Indian cricket team.

IPL has 300 players. Indian team 16 and no current Indian player in not found involved that is the difference.

What Sreeni has to do with this? It is not like Sreeni has been named in this or found involved by police.

Ignorance can be bliss. I have to accept that.
Let me know, will people raise questions over international matches or have they quit watching matches? It is not the first time we have found fixing in cricket. If they have not lost trust in cricket after so many scandals before how are you sure it is going to happen now after what happened in IPL.
