deathmonger Posted June 3, 2013 Author Posted June 3, 2013 And then you woke up :hehe: :finger: Jai pragati. Seriously though, this will happen. 2030 is still a long way off and some changes are already happening.
superstar Posted June 3, 2013 Posted June 3, 2013 Haha...Unless we have politicians fixing the water and electricity crisis India will have major issues. For one TN and Karnataka would be at civil war over Kaveri water... I cannot understand why govt. cannot encourage everyone to have solar power.
cowboysfan Posted June 3, 2013 Posted June 3, 2013 I will be happy if the humans make it 2030 without some catastrophic screwup .

Govt plans to set up 20000 MW by 2022, if not more.
NareshK Posted June 3, 2013 Posted June 3, 2013 For real change to happen, we need a lot of thrust in proper education. The stats may show 70 % literacy rate but I doubt many of them actually have a good education because of the poor quality of teaching. Good quality schools are the building blocks of a good society.
Jersey #10 Posted June 3, 2013 Posted June 3, 2013 India's population will kill the progress! The projected population is 1.5billion over taking china by good 100M by then. It will be insane.
FischerTal Posted June 3, 2013 Posted June 3, 2013 Condoms are required, otherwise no chance for India
vvvslaxman Posted June 3, 2013 Posted June 3, 2013 Rajini kanth will be acting with Hemamalini's grand daughter.
Jersey #10 Posted June 4, 2013 Posted June 4, 2013 For a better tomorrow, the government should plan for the future and I just don't see Indian government doing anything
zumi Posted June 4, 2013 Posted June 4, 2013 those predictions are way too optimistic. the current economic scenario can not support those lofty goals.
Tatti1992 Posted June 4, 2013 Posted June 4, 2013 Chennaiites will be taller than Punjabis. Punjabis will migrate to Canada, Biharis will become new Sardar of fertile farmland of Punjab. India will have 4 PMs and 1 Premier, new type of Zonal government. Majority of Indian male population will suffer from Erectile dysfunction, men will be chubbier and adopt bisexuality.
deathmonger Posted June 4, 2013 Author Posted June 4, 2013 those predictions are way too optimistic. the current economic scenario can not support those lofty goals. Pretty realistic I would say. Economy has slowed to 5% this year but will rebound. Here's why my predictions are realistic. 1. Literacy rate will be over 95% - Was 74% in 2011, 10% increase over 2001 so just extrapolating 2. Entire country will have 24 hours electricity with 98-99% electrification - Power situation has improved a lot with plenty of places having 24 hours electricity. 17 years is a long time. 3. Poverty will decrease a lot although Bihar, Eastern UP, MP etc still will have substantial number of poor. - Poverty decreased a lot in the past 20 years. Will decrease further. But since there's too much poverty in India substantial number of poor will remain, especially in the BIMARU states but as an overall percentage will decrease a lot 4. 20-25 Indian cities will have full metro systems. - Many Indian cities have started their metro constructions and some will open later this year (Mumbai, Chennai,Jaipur). Cities like Lucknow, Bhubaneshwar etc should start their metro projects by 2020 5. There will be bullet trains. - First one will start construction this year. Mumbai - Ahmedabad. By 2030 the entire Indian railway network may not have bullet trains but important links will. 6. We'll win atleast 35-40 medals in Olympics. - Quite conservative estimate. As India's economy grows (thus leading to better sporting facilities) and with the large pool of people we have we should keep having an increase every Olympics. Say 10-12 in 2016, 18-20 in 2020, 25-28 in 2024 and so on 7. We'll host the Olympics around then. - As the world's third largest economy and most populous nation this is obvious. 8. We'll get the UNSC permanent seat around then. - As the world's third largest economy and the only other country apart from the P5 to have nuke submarines and ICBMs 9. Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Pune, Kolkata will have killer skylines comparable to Singapore, Shanghai, Dubai etc. - Skylines are already in construction. Some real tall stuff is coming up in Mumbai currently. Yes, corruption scams will still happen (with bigger amounts of money) and per capita wise we'll still be behind the west but people will be literate, have access to 24 hours electricity and have access to four square meals a day at least. This might seem a bit far fetched but thing 17 years ago from now (1996). Would you have believed it if anyone had said that one day F1 will come to India, India will host the most lucrative cricket league where players from all over the world will come to play, International artists will flock to India etc etc. I use the 15 year China rule. We are now at the point China was 15 years ago (Same poverty levels, same GDP etc). That is China in the late 90s. No one called it a superpower then, did they? Look now. Same thing's going to happen with us. And if you are talking corruption China's as corrupt as us.
Tatti1992 Posted June 4, 2013 Posted June 4, 2013 Pretty realistic I would say. You want truth? Let me give you million dollar advice brother. In India you should not think too ahead of yourself, because you never know when you wife will file a fake 498a dowry case. In India being a male is a crime, you are always at risk. I have seen girls ruining life of pious people, I have lost faith in Indian Justice. To me real development is equal rights, fair justice, freedom of speech. I dont want India to become another Saudi Arab. India is very unpredictable, things happen to you, you dont do anything.

I6MTW Posted June 4, 2013 Posted June 4, 2013 Chennai will never have skylines because there is a height limit in the construction of a building. First for all this to happen, politicians shouldn't be corrupt.
Swing_n_Speed Posted June 4, 2013 Posted June 4, 2013 1) By 2030 India will have a major demographic dividend crisis. 2)The sex ratio will be completely skewed 3)The economy will cool off 4)Quality of life will have improved considerably 5)Infrastructure too will have improved, but will still be stop-gap, matlab along with super infra there will be chaos and lot of unplanned ad-hoc development. That said there will be many super amazing townships. 5)Housing surplus. 6)Goa will have completely gone to the dogs and will resemble the Mumbai of 10 years ago.
