vayuu1 Posted June 8, 2013 Posted June 8, 2013 Folks considering ,the match is at oval ,it might be that we face this attack in simillar conditions like yesterday, what should be over strategy against them.
Number Posted June 8, 2013 Posted June 8, 2013 Rohit becomes Bradman against them. These bowlers along with Russel were destroying our top order for fun in 2 bilaterals we played. Rohit won us 4-5 games on his own.
Hur Rizvi Posted June 8, 2013 Posted June 8, 2013 Their attack is not that threatening, just our pathetic batting made them look class
deathmonger Posted June 8, 2013 Posted June 8, 2013 Folks considering ' date='the match is at oval ,it might be that we face this attack in simillar conditions like yesterday, what should be over strategy against them.[/quote'] Same as SA, see off the new ball. Go ballistic on Bravo/Pollard. Also we have a good record against Narine.
deathmonger Posted June 8, 2013 Posted June 8, 2013 Their attack is not that threatening' date=' just our pathetic batting made them look class[/quote'] Their attack is pretty good though (not as good as Paki batsmen made them look though). Narine is the no 1 ODI spinner in the world at the moment. Plus Roach/Rampaul are pretty good too.
I6MTW Posted June 8, 2013 Posted June 8, 2013 Their attack is pretty good though (not as good as Paki batsmen made them look though). Narine is the no 1 ODI spinner in the world at the moment. Plus Roach/Rampaul are pretty good too. How the hell did he become the number 1 spinner in all 3 formats? The last time I checked he was **** in international formats and decent in IPL.
rkt.india Posted June 8, 2013 Posted June 8, 2013 Pakistan attack is better than WI without Best and Gabriel.
Clarke Posted June 8, 2013 Posted June 8, 2013 Its their batting that's a much bigger worry considering our bowling weaknesses. Gayle, Samuels, Sarwan, Pollard & maybe Bravo can smash a big hundred against us. Their no. 11 almost scored a century against the attack comprising Yadav, Koomarr, Jaddu & Ashwin in Vizag.
NareshK Posted June 8, 2013 Posted June 8, 2013 Yeah, its a good attack especially on a wicket which has something for bowlers. It will be a good test for our batsmen.
G_B_ Posted June 8, 2013 Posted June 8, 2013 the key is play out the first 10 and hold enough wickets in hand for the final 15. The highest score at the Oval from one pitch (which was covered yesterday) was 298 (win) and 252 (loss) The score on the other pitch used yesterday was 227 (pak v sa) and 170. Realistically as the other pitch is being used me thinks 270-280 will be a winning score for India if the weather is not overcast. Win the toss and bowl..... simple. The good news for India is while the seamers are getting bounce there did not appear to be much sideways movement. There was also plenty of turn for all the spinners involved. Even Samuels was getting some turn. India should IMO introduce Ashwin and Sir after the first 10.
Pakistan Posted June 8, 2013 Posted June 8, 2013 Our hacks made them look Roberts, Holding and Gibbs. Watch Dhawan, MD and Kholi making their chatni for you guys.
bulbul Posted June 8, 2013 Posted June 8, 2013 Our hacks made them look Roberts' date=' Holding and Gibbs. Watch Dhawan, MD and Kholi making their chatni for you guys.[/quote'] Some of their hacks made your bowlres looks good , any other team should have chased that target losing only few wickets :winky:
Junyfan Posted June 8, 2013 Posted June 8, 2013 will not be easy to be honest, indian batting is equally vulnerable against swing, even if it is little.
Sandeep99 Posted June 8, 2013 Posted June 8, 2013 We'll hunt them, mark my words. Roach will go for minimum 7 rpo. The only bowlers I'd be worried are Rampaul, Bravo! Bowl well against India. Narine, Roach are cannon fodder
Ibes Posted June 8, 2013 Posted June 8, 2013 Notably we lack the element of surprise Misbah has going for him but I would say our batting has other qualities.
tweaker Posted June 8, 2013 Posted June 8, 2013 t think they will play Tino Best and Jason Holder against us.
SLICKR392 Posted June 8, 2013 Posted June 8, 2013 will not be easy to be honest' date='[b']indian batting is equally vulnerable against swing, even if it is little. No, not much as your batsmen.
