flamy Posted June 23, 2013 Posted June 23, 2013 He stepped up. What he has to improve on is to see things through. Get the head a little cooler. This kid's fire is awesome, he just has to temper it. Good support by Jadeja, but our bat today was Kohli. Dhawan was under lesser pressure, IMO.
Cricketics Posted June 23, 2013 Posted June 23, 2013 What a player. Big match player. Scored a crucial 30 some in world cup final and here again. Keep it going Virat.
suraj Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 He was crucial to the win He is kinda what GG was for us a few yrs ago- always stepping up no matter what the format I just hope he does better than GG
Ultimate_Game Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 Kohli played well in the WC 2011 final while consolidating with Gambhir and helped us get to a half-decent total in this final. The guy shows up when needed :hatsoff:
surajmal Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 Kohli has got such amazing timing that at times it seems like no one can get him out. But somehow he does. I suppose it's good thing that even out of form, he can get 30s, 40s with ease. Hopefully, he will back in form for the SA tour.

Overall he always tries to use his wrists to get the placement.
flamy Posted June 24, 2013 Author Posted June 24, 2013 Yea, he has got excellent placement skills. Technique wise he has got it down. Just temperament from now on.

This is why Kohli is one of the core members of the team.
Old guy Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 Yea' date=' haha. This is why Kohli is one of the core members of the team.[/quote'] he is and now he is taking responsibility. today he played inning which many of our past legends failed to in finals . he played like how best batsmen in team should and guided the while inning even with wickets falling. :hatsoff:
CoverDrive Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 He was the best batsman in the final between both sides. Pitch was not easy and he really used his wrists well to find gaps and get extra power. His temperament and the experience he has got at such young age already makes him a senior in this side
FischerTal Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 i have to give credit where its due. :hatsoff: have fun smashing the Lungans. free runs :cheer:
indiefan Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 Holding up the tradition of wonderful wrist players in the Indian lineup. :two_thumbs_up:
