I am still scratching my head at Ishant Sharma bowling more than 1 over, let alone 4 overs!! The only possible explanation for that choice could be that England would want to kill off the chase in ishant's over and thus take an undue risk. Who knows how these things in big limited-overs matches work with Dhoni, but Ishant bowled a slower ball and Eoin Morgan mis-hit to midwicket. It was a front-of-the-hand slower ball, pretty much common fare in limited-overs cricket today, but Morgan didn't pick it. The next ball seemed even more innocuous on the face of it. Short ball, no sting, head high, pulled down clean, but straight to the fielder at square leg. Roll that dismissal back, though. And it is difficult to figure out the logic here, but there was no midwicket for that ball. That man inside the circle was at square leg, next to the umpire. Ishant Sharma was Dhoni's new Joginder.

I wouldn't have even given him a 3rd over. I would have bowled out Bhuvi and gone with Raina for the other 2 overs coz the pitch was favoring spin a lot.

IMO Bhuvi should have been tried at the death in the tourney. Granted he doesn't have as much pace but has much more control than either Umesh or Ishant.

Yes. Ishant has been given too long a rope in ODIs, should have been in the squad for the WI/SL triseries. Vinay or Irfan should have played vs Pak and been retained. I realise he has taken wickets but its not often been due to good bowling. He releases any pressure created by bowlers at the other end.

Did anyone notice how just after the last ball Dhoni picked out Ishant running in from a distance and wave at him. Ishant runs in and hugs him. Dhoni believes in mentoring his charges and at any given time he willingly takes on a struggling playeer as a project and helps them overcome their slump - be it within the period of a tourney ("he needs confidence" piyush during the world cup, or over two matches - did this with Nehra over two matches where Nehra lost us a match in the death and was given a chance in the next match to redeem himself, or during a match, when he throws the ball to a bowler with the worst figures and shows them he believes in them, or over years like he did with Jadeja. When he threw the ball to Ishant it was like he was saying, "I am surrounded by heroes but I'm throwing the ball to you. What are you going to do about it?" Dhoni is an Intuitive-sensing-feeling leader who believes in helping his charges grow and be their best.
