MS Dhoni - Greatest finisher ever

I believe MSD is the best wicket keeper batsman in India rt now. But he is like a student who studies on the last day before exam only. Or works only when the deadline is here. I love what he has achieved for India, but I am not sold on this innings. He came in when there was no pressure, and yet he could not even rotate the strike. Any sensible middle order bat will farm the strike and protect the tail - but our Mr cool does not believe in that! All I am saying is that this could have easily backfired if Ishant had failed to keep out the 2 balls or if he had gotten a good delivery in the last over. If I was captain, I would rather reprimand dhoni for messing up a simple chase that needed just intelligent strikes.

Yes there was no pressure when he came in ...the chase was simple as well . Like you say any other batsmen wouldbhave finshed this off around the 40th over

MSD usually takes it to the last over but its not fair to blame the guy for yesterday's match.... Raina and Vinay played dumb shots, Bhuvi got a beauty and you cant blame MSD for not rotating the strike as the guy was limping through the innings. MSD is one of the best in rotating strike. :orderorder: Obviously, with wickets falling around him, he did what he does best. Take it to the last over and slaughter the bowler.... :hatsoff:

That is a whole new debate. On hindsight, would you have Mooli or a limping MSD in that situation? I do concede to the fact that MSD should have kept himself out. At the same time, I thanked God that it was MSD out there playing the last over. Like most of his decisions, this one can also be debated but would be futile.
