gattaca Posted March 3, 2014 Posted March 3, 2014 Dhoni haters will not like this one bit..who next? Saha?lol No one has a problem with dhoni being in the side but his captaincy otherwise.
Yoda-esque Posted March 3, 2014 Posted March 3, 2014 No one has a problem with dhoni being in the side but his captaincy otherwise. Problem? Lol, he should be the one to have a problem with such fans
gattaca Posted March 3, 2014 Posted March 3, 2014 Problem? Lol' date=' he should be the one to have a problem with such fans[/quote'] Every captain has a shelf life. He is past it.
Laaloo Posted March 3, 2014 Posted March 3, 2014 Every captain has a shelf life. He is past it. you are preaching to the wrong choir my friend
G_B_ Posted March 3, 2014 Posted March 3, 2014 When DK first arrived on the scene he was a good keeper but a poor batsman. Today he is a slightly better batsman but a poor keeper.
Detonator Posted March 4, 2014 Posted March 4, 2014 you are preaching to the wrong choir my friend he is a southie, so not ur frnd :giggle:
rkt.india Posted March 4, 2014 Posted March 4, 2014 Sanga stumping was really sheer bad luck he collected missed the stumps .:giggle: I have seen some terrific use of feet and stumping from d.k like this one- ] His keeping has regressed over the years. When he first came, he was out best WK but his batting wasn't up to the mark but then he started working more on batting and his keeping went down the drain.
NareshK Posted March 4, 2014 Posted March 4, 2014 Dinesh Kartik doesnt have the temperament to play international cricket. He doesnt do well under pressure. I have never seen him bat well when the situation demanded it. Those are the runs and contributions which really matter.
CG Posted March 4, 2014 Posted March 4, 2014 Dinesh Kartik doesnt have the temperament to play international cricket. He doesnt do well under pressure. I have never seen him bat well when the situation demanded it. Those are the runs and contributions which really matter. Seems u have not watched his debut series against pakistan where he won a test due to his patnership with dravid in kolkatta in 2nd innings or the final against srilanka.
GautiMaan Posted March 4, 2014 Posted March 4, 2014 CG u seem to be living in 2004.He has had numerous chances since then and has nothing to show for it,he has played only two match winning knocks in ODI's one a 60 odd against WI and another 90 against SL despite so many chances. I would like nothing more than for him to succeed but its just not going to happen
TheWall Posted March 4, 2014 Posted March 4, 2014 Hope DD throws him out before IPL starts and save 12 cr....:--D
GautiMaan Posted March 4, 2014 Posted March 4, 2014 Yup. He showed a lot of promise early on and he lived up to it in the mid 2000s but hasne been ablr to grab opportunities that came his way like this Asia cup. He could have played the middle order / lower middle order spot and a backup wk in the WC In Aus. I wanted him to succeed because of the talent but hasnt been able to cash in. I guess he will be remembered as a what if cricketer :( I thought this would have happen after his twin hundreds in the CT warmups but it was another false dawn:facepalm:

When he first came' date=' he was out best WK but his batting wasn't up to the mark but then he started working more on batting and his keeping went down the drain.[/quote'] He was the best among Parthiv Patel and Deep Dasgupta. That's not saying much. :giggle:
Magneto Posted March 4, 2014 Posted March 4, 2014 Hope DD throws him out before IPL starts and save 12 cr....:--D Apparently BCCI has already sent a memo to DD saying 'Bika huwa maal wapas nahi hoga'.
rkt.india Posted March 4, 2014 Posted March 4, 2014 He was the best among Parthiv Patel and Deep Dasgupta. That's not saying much. :giggle: He was better than Dhoni too, but Dhoni got priority because of his batting.
Magneto Posted March 4, 2014 Posted March 4, 2014 He was better than Dhoni too' date=' but Dhoni got priority because of his batting.[/quote'] Though Dhoni was miles ahead of Pappu/Dasgupta, still being better than him doesn't say much as well. :giggle: I have always regarded DK as a useless keeper and a decent batter. He has obviously not done justice to his batting talent even after playing 70 ODIs.
