B. Kumar should have not been playing this ODI series, same thing happened when Shami was bowling well and ind played him non-stop. Playing five back to back five tests is way too much, considering especially when opposition was piling 500+ runs

Wasim started playing for Padosis in 1984. Speed guns were regularly used from 1999 World Cup. How do you know what speeds Akram bowled at exactly in his prime ? I don't. Akram was perceived to be pacy by all the batsmen who faced him. Had a vicious bouncer. He was never express but bowled at a lively pace even in tests. Bhuvi is a medium paced swing bowler who depends primarily on accuracy and conventional swing. Akram was , as a pacer, the complete package. He swung both the new and old ball at pace, got seam movement and was a master of reverse swing, yorkers and bouncers. Even bowling stylewise ... there is no comparison really.

Err no. Wasim on average bowled 6-7kph faster than Bhuvi. Wasim was capable of bowling 10-12 kph faster than Bhuvi quite easily (and there are plenty of spells of him where he is not swinging it, he is hitting the deck with speed and getting a lot of bounce too). Wasim also was a more complete swing bowler than Bhuvi. He could come around the wicket (ie, bowl on the same side as normal right hand bowlers do to right handers, ie, left hand side of the wicket when seeing it on the screen), pitch the ball swinging in and get it to cut away- that is practically impossible to do for anyone else (his WC 92 dismissals come to mind- both those balls are impossible balls to bowl for anyone else). Bhuvi's equivalent would be to go around the left hand side of the wicket to a left handed batsman, drift the ball into their pads and get it to cut away from them. And I've never seen any bowler do that consistently, let alone Bhuvi. Akram was also capable of swinging the ball one way and then get it to cut the other way after pitching- something for eg Dale Steyn does with his stock outswinger to righties (it comes in before pitching, pitches and then cuts away) but he could do it both ways, from both sides of the wicket. He also bowled swinging yorkers much better than Bhuvi. In short, Akram was the ultimate swing bowler which i dont think Bhuvi is. not yet atleast. And combine it with a very fast arm action that concealed the ball, capability of genuine speed and ability to hit the deck and generate significant bounce at significant speed and Akram was way, way more effective than Bhuvi

that is when he was 35-36 years of age at the end of his career. He was much faster in his younger days.

Guy was hitting 135-140 at the age of 36. Now imagine how much quicker he must be at his prime. He was a genuine pacer and most genuine pacers bowler lose at least 10k at the *** end of their careers.

Lot of it was lifted seams and doctored balls. The lateral movement of the balls is about the same. Bhuvi is also more consistent and accurate.
