Are ICC rankings credible : Does Jadeja really deserve to be the No. 1 ODI bowler in ICC rankings?

There is no doubt that he has been a revelation in last six months or so.. He has performed incredibly well, esp with the ball... But he is doing it for only since January last year... He was not even a part of team before that...When he was selected, we all were feeling that he has been selected because he plays for CSK in IPL... But he has proved his doubters wrong with incredible performance... He has scalped 38 wickets in 22 matches this year at an incredible average of 18.87 and economy rate of 3.78. But, is good performance in 22 matches enough to justify his place as No. 1 ODI bowler.. He is ahead of the likes of James Anderson and Saeed Ajmal, who both are better bowlers than Jadeja in every single way and both of them are performing well for a long time now...esp Ajmal who according to me is the best ODI bowler in the world... Discussing of this, How Sunil Narine is still no. 1 ODI bowler is still a mystery to me just like his bowling.. He was successful till his mystery lasted.. These are current rankings not all time rankings.So yes 100% deserves to be ranked no:1 And Anderson is a decent ODI bowler nowhere near the best in the world

what about mishra jumping to 32nd position after playing an odi series after 2 years against a team like zimbabwe ??

Its wickets + ER for odi bowling in ICC rankings' date='its not tough to understand unless you are a hater.[/quote'] i am not a hater and i know he performed well.. what i am saying is that, he has playedonly 22 matches after returning to the team and that includes 5 matches against zimbabwe, 5 in west indies tri series.. 3 against pakistan in india, 5 against England in India.. and Champions trophy.. all these matches were played either against teams that are weak against spin or these matches were played in spin friendly environment.. Only performance that stood out is Champions Trophy and even there, pitches were assisting spinners...

donno whether the methodology of the ranking system is credible but according to the current rankings and the way it has been calculated for the past few years,jadeja is undoubtedly #1 odi bowler presently

Very similar questions were raised when India had risen to no.1 test ranking. These ranking are reflection of recent performances and you had formula/methodology in place beforehand. So yeah Sir fully deserved this ranking. and nobody should ever doubt SIR.
