Bharat Nirmaan Posted September 4, 2013 Posted September 4, 2013 Today a very small child came to our house, he was my nephews age. He asked for something to eat, his voice is still stuck in my head. That hungry painful voice impacted me so much. I immediately went inside and brought him some biscuits which we got custom made from local bakery. Biscuits were 10~ in total, his tiny hands were struggling to hold them all. He was almost naked, wearing only a knicker, his skin was burning in September's harsh sun. I must admit I don't like beggars, and I always refuse help. But this kid was all alone, I checked surroundings and asked kid too that who is with him, he was all alone. I guess he is 4-5 years old. I felt ashamed, whole system failed him. Now that kid is no more in my street, I feel strong urge to hold him and hug him with both arms. People adopt pets from street, I strongly advocate adopting such unfortunate child, even if you provide him least adequate meal it will be still better than roaming on streets and pleading at every doorstep. :((

I have heard good things about them. They support widows and children. That's nice. I don't know much abt them apart from the website which gives options for sponsoring a child for a month or for an year. One of their centres is located abt 15kms from where I live as per their website.

In the space of 60 posts Bharat Nirmaan has people raging over some of his posts. Always have a chuckle at how worked up he gets people. And I don't know some of the stuff they just make up is funny to read too.
