Well secularism as practiced in India itself is intellectually dishonest. The sad part is what we witnessed here was pre-matured orgasm while Rome was still burning. Why ? Because they presumed there could be an opening against a person they don't like much. Is it not a fair presumption then that these people and their opinion on Gujarat riots or any other matter can no longer be taken seriously ? Bane of India's democracy is not secularism or communal-ism. It is fundamentalism. I do believe founders strived for an higher ideal. We will make mistakes. But we will get there. The idea of India is step in right direction. India by its very nature is pluralistic society. So, we don't need the secular fundamentalist to impose anything. Fundamentalists from both sides need to get isolated by moderates.

Can you post a link for this? Firstpost says FIR has been lodged against politicos for violating prohibitory orders. As you said " taali ek haath se nahin bajti" , any FIRs against MLA's from the opposite section of the society or from SP?
