I think there's a bit of difficulty in that as we haven't played the 'no 1 team' for 5 years (partly due to us being no 1 during some of that period). We last played the no 1 team Oz in 2008 whom we beat 2-0.

Depends which Pakistan team shows up in UAE as they are most unpredictable side. They can whitewash number 1 ranked team away from home and but can lose a test match against non ranked team as well. This is the beauty of team Pakistan.

I think Pakistan can win this series but I think it will end up like a 1-1 drawn series. I also think South Africa will play Tahir and Peterson together which means Philander is likely to miss out. I'm expecting Smith to have a run fest here though.
