Yuvraj Singh has made a comeback to India's limited-overs squad for the Twenty20 and first three ODIs of the home series against Australia. There were four changes made to India's last first-choice ODI squad, the one that won the Champions Trophy in England. Yuvraj replaced opener M Vijay, Dinesh Karthik lost out to his Mumbai Indians team-mate Ambati Rayudu, the injured Irfan Pathan made way for Mohammed Shami, and Jaydev Unadkat's left-arm seam was preferred to Umesh Yadav's erratic-at-times pace. Yeah some runs on flat wickets against inferiors sides and back in the side. Apne baap ka adda samaj rakha hai kya?
Yuvraj was dropped for fitness not form; those runs showed he can now bat for longer duration. Yuvraj makes this team stronger.

Jadeja's a #6-#7 batsman whereas Yuvi is a #4 batsman. How would Dhoni opt for Jaddu ahead of Yuvi?

It only shows that he can be good against substandard bowling. Anyways, ab team mein le hi liya toh dekhte hai kya karta hai

bad luck for KD...Yuvi is just a different level player. When in his elements Yuvi is a beast middle order bat and surprisingly effective spin bowler and a good fielder...just too good for DK who in his own right is a good player. Bad luck.

The batting order picks itself: Dhawan, Rohit, Kohli, Yuvraj, Raina, Dhoni, Jadeja. Looks pretty solid on paper. I am just worried about Rohit's strike-rate. On Indian pitches, he needs to keep his strike rate over 80 and not put all the scoring pressure on Dhawan.

Biggest worry at the moment is Jadeja. If he goes back to his previous mediocre form, he is not suitable to bat at no. 7 for India. If his poor form continues, I will push Rohit in the middle order and replace an opener with Jadeja (preferably Gambhir) Yuvi can act as an left arm spin all rounder :agree:

DK was giving plenty of chances; he didn't make use of any of them.
