Rahul Shukla was never really used by MI even if Wankhede pitch was seamer friendly for several matches, same for Suyal. Rahane was never really given proper chances at MI, neither Dhawan got enough chances there. Look at Aditya Tare who played so well once SRT got injured in IPL, what treatment he has gotten? He could be a regular fixture in many other teams. What about Tambe? Pitch has not helped him at all at Jaipur. I will always say that tactically, Dravid was our best captain. He has a great cricketing mind. He analyzes the game really well and that was evident during his commentary stint too.

Moto of rajasthan--- keep costs down and make a profit You look at Rahane at Royals. I think they are paying him $60,000 a year. Tambe $30,000 a year. Basically Dravid is forced to back youngsters as money is not there to buy big players. Look at when RR won the IPL in the first edition. They let their big names go and did not retain them. Teams like MI RCB CSK etc are not franchises were you establish yourself.

So he took a pay cut and i am confident that Rahane will attract $1,000,000 plus at the auctions in Feb. So in the long run financially its really worked out for him. Dhawan to be fair at mumbai got plenty of chances to open. Just could not work. Was a confidence and pressure issue I think.
