Bangalore needs a new stadium

Its time.Chinnaswamy maybe be centrally located but it too small and the ground is ridiculously small.Either they have to demolish the stadium or build a bigger one outskirts.

just have a bowler friendly pitch to compensate for the small boundaries. probably need to renovate though. Did not see much fixed seating just plastic removable chairs.

Pitch might've changed but the altitude factor and ground size are same.. If curators want they can prepare a decent pitch. I remember India defending 200 here in a warm up game during 2011 Wcup vs Aus.

Just need the old grass on the pitch again, it will seam around most of the time there..they have f'd up because of IPL..get the old curator or his prodigy to make the pitches..wtf.

depends on the lease. When it was signed and for how long. If its something like 999 years or something like that then forget it.

I was just kidding. There is no way ksca is letting go of the stadium in such a prime location. The the lease is till 2069, but there is a court case going on. Survey will end row over Army land

There is some hardcore problem with this pitch/ground. This is the same pitch/ground where a pathetic Odi team like England managed to tie the match with India who had scored 330+ during the Last WC. Same pitch/ground where Kevin O Brien hit a 50 Balls Hundred to secure win for the Irish beating the Odds of 990/1. Same pitch/ground where Gayle hit a 30 balls Ipl ton , 37 runs in an over and scored hundreds of runs/sixes after joining the RCB which allowed him to play 50% of his games on this patta and set the Ipl on fire , unlike his stint with KKR where he was hardly successful.

Bangalore certainly helps pacers if you leave grass. It also has bounce too. Remember first T20 match against Pakistan.

The location of Chinnaswamy is excellent. Attendance will suffer if the stadium is too far away from the city especially with the Bangalore traffic. I agree the stadium is too small. Need to somehow increase it.

The Stadium needs to be renovated.....they are apparently gradually adding fixed seats.....I also really think that the playing field isn't as small as people make it out to be......it's just that the outfield is lightning quick.......

Murali Kartik bowled beautifully on that pitch. SAF didn't have a clue.
