What a phainty these batsmen gave to bowlers. It is easy to say that these are 350 pitches, 370 pitches. If Paksitan had played on these surfaces they would have scored 50 for 1 in 15 overs. by the time they get to 40th over they will be somewhere around 180 .. then they will add another 50 or 60 depending on their mighty batting by their lower order. Finch, Watson, Bailey, Maxwell, Faulkner, Rohit, Kohli, Dhoni, Yuvraj, Dhawan, Raina,, this is masallah big hitting beast club. Other teams might have one or two. These are the two teams that have big hitters at various positions in the batting order which make it possible to launch into bowling at any time. Also these days teams are forced to take risks against India and post big scores as we are gun run chasing side. If Australia had played Pakistan they need not be targeting 350 as it requires two innings from Pakistan to get there :cantstop: . I bet Bangaldesh has more hitters than Pakistan. Pakistan ftbs feast only Indian bowlers. They are sh** against other teams. South africa chokes far too often to sustain a big run chase. Lungans have grand total of 2 good batsmen. West Indies they reserve their best for IPL lol. Outside that they suck big time. NZ has inconsistent hitters.

thats a way to look at it, probably out of the 350 runs 300 were down to the batsmen's beast hitting and 50 were down to the shyt pitches....yup if these guys played in good pitches they would probably make 260 - 290 most of the games..

Yuvraj and Raina. Johnson owned them. Actually India had a slightly tougher task compared to Australia while batting. I have seen plenty of flat pitch matches.. 387 against England, 414 against SL. Only reason this series gets mixed reviews is because entire series is full of big run chase. I think it is mainly due to their nature of batting line up from both sides and their form.

Pakis would have barely made 270 runs in one of the matches. Granted the pitches are tough but there was still some movement early on for the bowlers.

Bailey and Maxwell started the onslaught as early as from 30th over.. It is one thing it is a flat pitch. Not like we have never played on flat pitch. But to advance acceleration by 10 overs you require mindset not just bad bowling and belter of a wicket. Mindset has completely changed these days.

a farce as far as pitches is concerned.one match over 350 is fine. but too many matches in that range is a joke to say the least. realistically, the bcci lot are incapable of comin up with first rate products.i once witnessed the farce of dog roaming around the ground for 45 mins and nobody takin any action about it.that's how the state of affairs is.

I dunno man, I remember the pakis struggling to push 4 an over against india in their last 4 games. The champions trophy match was embarrassingly one sided...what a humiliating batting display. They are just a very gutless batting unit, and that's according to their own people. They can't even put bat to ball when it's doing something. Aside from that, I agree with your post. Australia has a power packed batting lineup, they are coming off a nice series win in England as well. They should be favorites to win the world t20.

On these flat pan cakes and new ODI rules any good hitter can become beast especially with the help of poor bowling attacks shown in the series. None of Aus or Ind could have scored 350+ runs even on these pitches with the quality of bowling we have. Except for Dhawan, who was not part of the team all the rest Indian beasts were tamed pretty well on these same pitches not too long ago.

If it was so easy Yuvraj, Raina would have also joined the party. They are also among the best hitters in the game. Kohli, Dhawan and Rohit were pure class. Striking at 120-130 with all ease. MSD's innings in Mohali was a gem. Bailey has proven himself.

lol How many runs were scored at Dhaka in the chase? That was when Sehwag and Gambhir were on a downslide! Dont forget the same Pak attack conceded 300+ in SA on 'those' pitches The pitches for the ODI series vs Pakistan were not flat wickets, they had plenty of movement and good enough turn for spinners where stroke play was a lot more difficult, more like the pitches you have in Dubai, with some additional swing due to the winters

We have scaled bigger totals even with old rules. Indian six hitters are not local six hitters. They are gigantic hitters. Our sixer king Yuvraj was not even in form. It would have been even more devastating had he been in form. Didn't India chase down 330 odd against Pakistan with ridiculous ease. Pakistan series was an aberration than a rule. Your team struggled against Zimbabwe, Ireland remember? Did you forget Kevin O brien murdering your bowlers or Sean williams laying into your bowlers. They are much much inferior sides.

They were good batting pitches, no doubt but it was still great batting by both sides. In fact, most of the scoring was done by Dhawan, Kohli, Rohit, Bailey, Dhoni, Maxwell. Rest couldn't do much which goes to show you still need to bat well to score runs on these tracks.
