Why is BCCI favoring Suresh Raina so much?

We are going to play in Adelaide Melbourne and Sydney almost all our games in world cup. So whether opposition can bounce out Raina (or any of our batsmen) in Gabba or Perth is moot point really
Discussing grounds with bounce is moot when raina gets bounced out in India ..

i used to like "raina-the team player" before... but his lack of effort to address his deficiency with handling the short ball, left me less impressed. the current raina will be of no value in WC15

That's lame. What's wrong in Temujin's post?

indeed.i heard most of the pitches will be drop in pitches and all of them will have more bounce than any pitch in india.

ravi-rampaul2.jpg Raina is a good guy and i like his attitude but really he needs to step up his game if wants to bat at no 4 in aus.

Raina is a match winner, fighter and a gutsy player. I will never forget his contribution in the two of the most important games ( QF / SF 2011 WC ) ever and for that alone keep him in the side atleast till the next WC. If he fails in 2015 WC then he can be dropped but not before that.

In the last 12-15 months, Raina has helped us win the series vs SL and England at home, playing crucial knocks when the top 3 including Kohli failed. He's not got the big scores in last 2-3 series and his shot selection hasn't been upto the mark, but no need to press the panic button yet. Cant keep changing our players so frequently. As many have said best thing for him is to go back to his no 6 position as a finisher.

minor correction:That Sri Lanka series was away from home, but i guess you can let it slide, since we've made it feel like home the past 5 years :--D.

Suresh Raina, how long is a string? he looked totally uncomfortable in the 2 home series against Aus and WI on pattas. how long will BCCI and CSK lobby continue backing this "big hitting" player? feel for the likes of Pujara, Rahane, Mandeep, Rayudu, Juneja, .... Raina :finger:

Wth is wrong with u. We get your point, what's the point in creating Raina thread daily. MOS against England with Finn bowling 150+ through out his spell and taking earlier wickets.. His innings in QF and SF against Australia and Paksitan...Most batsman can dream off.. I wud go even step ahead and say that it was cuz of Raina's knocks in QF and SF in pressure situations with tail that India won the WCUP... Raina was IMO the unsung hero of the our WCUP
