When are we leaving for SA? A lot of the players in the ODI team - Mohit, Rahane , Mishra are playing the Ranji matches which started today and will end on 1st Dec. The 1st ODI is on 5th Dec! I hope we are not playing an ODI vs SA 24-36 hours after landing in SA.

There aren't any practice game prior to the ODI series so these players might leave on 2nd. 3 back to back series. They need some rest.

So 2 days for acclimatisation in SA! We will get slaughtered in ODIs unless Saffies choke :nervous:

after seeing the epic CHOKE against padosis..i seriously doubt that.Besides we have good batting lineup than padosis.

I Still cant believe that our ego full and balls less BCCI allowed their personal agenda to basically alter what could have been a great tour by India....& a great chance to start their march towards No1 in Test. Now...with just 2 Test....its like almost going to leave the fans wanting for more. I accept that 2 test series are ok against WI/SL/NZ/Zim/BD...but with the other ie SA/Eng/Aus/Pak it should be atleast 3 test minimun

Our bowling is better than Pak's batting. IND Batting: 9 Bowling: 6 PAK Bowling: 8 Batting: 3

i think we should win odis easily our bowlers will be little more effective than pattas at home and pitches honestly in odis are good enough for people like kohli to get set and score big ..while south africa have been struggling with batting for some time now in odis

I am not going by test. I just feel that an inform Zak, when available and not injured can be better than any other bowler in INdia.

Don't understand why people are saying our batsmen will be under prepared.....Dhawan, Rohit, Raina, Pujara, Mooli, Rayudu and Rahane were part of the A tour two months back.....they definitely will have an idea of the conditions....pitches maybe be less flatter this time around....

India have the best bowling line up ever... 1. Youngsters 2. Have the pace (consistently 140+ km) 3. Can swing the ball either way 4. Decent spinners who can bowl long spells 5. New and Old ball specialists Our bowlers are quite decent if not the best.

Best as in best Indian bowling lineup ever. It can be, seeing as the bar is so low.

I just feel that an inform Zak' date=' when available and not injured can be better than any other bowler in INdia.[/quote'] A full fit fast bowler should be able to bowl 18 overs in ONe day of a TEST.... i beleive ZAk may bowl 10 overs now but only 5 at full throttle- i am watching his no of overs while he is playing domestic matches and he seems underbowling himself...even against vidharbha he bowled just 7 overs and got 2 wickets..................if he has got 2 wickets in 7 overs in 2 spells .. he shud be bowling himself more.

a 140K+ ZAk is a real dreaded Animal and can compete with Dale steyn as well but a 135 and less ZAk will have less swing and less chances to suceed and is no where close to DALE STEYN or for that MATTER Morne Morkal. but bhuvi even at 135 K is very dangerous as he has great inswinging capability and ideally he should be swinignig at 135 To 139 k but he still gets batters out at 131 to 135k.. i have seen when ZAk is slow - i mean 130 to 133k is most INEFFECTIVE. target Shammi ..1 month back he was bowling at less than 137k... n he was no where .. hardly sure for a place in the eleven.. now he is 140+ and he is the first pacer to be in the eleven.
