I am not worried about Virat, Dhawan, Rohit, Dhoni in ODI, they can bat Steyns pace as good as anyone, it is our bowlers who are letting us down we have the capability to score 250 to 300 on these green tracks also, but if bowlers give 360 on a 250 track and the par score per record was 225 then the fault lies with Bowlers, 250 to 300 we would be in the game or give it a good shot, I hope we select the right bowlers and max one spinner rest get Umesh in, Shami, Umesh open, Bhuvi and Ishant if he is bowling well in the nets and max Ashwin as a spinner, Yuvi out and Rahane or Rayudu in.

If we play the right 11 we will win the game, we have the team for it what is lacking is Thought process by captain and coach, right combination and aggression needed and we shall win this one, have faith in our batters, except Yuvi and certain extent Raina but even Raina looked ok last game.

A couple of ramp shots, deflections down leg, slashes above slips and Saffers and their bowlers will deflate, remember what Sehwag , Sachin did against Akhtar and co when they were more fierce and this bunch is as good if not better with their strokes square of the wicket, just hope our bowlers bowl well and we lost a golden opportunity to bowl first and get on top.

So they need to hit the deck harder than just release the ball.[/quote'] Having ' hit the deck bowlers' is a must almost everywhere. Most of the times the ball does not swing . Seam movement coupled with bounce are required to trouble good batsmen. In this team, Umesh, Shami and Ishant can do it. We should play atleast the first two in SAF. Badly missing a tall, good quick. Personally, I don't understand the logic behind the inclusion of pacers in international cricket who just float the ball or are short and slow. They never succeed in the long run once the novelty factor wears off. If it is not possible to find good quicks, it is better to take good tall medium pacers like Pandey, who atleast will get bounce ans seam movement.

Because MSD is not objective. He will subjectively keep supporting players that he "likes". The three you listed - Raina, Yuvi and Jaddu are his pets.

Objectivity, foresight and pre planning having never been the forte of Indian cricket. Although the setup looks so professional from it's getup, it is more of gut feel operation , low on analysis. Objectively gauging the requirements to win everywhere and identifying the problems that exist --- then taking necessary action... well, this does not happen in Indian cricket. Most of our wins are due to the batting talent that is available.

Indians underestimate their bowling so much that they make all these pattas at home for ODI games,infact we struggle overseas on pitches which are flat and a little more bouncier than S.C,On green tracks usually we have done well in the past....Our batting was good and our weakness for bowling was neutralised but nowadays since Eng and Aus 2011,we have just given up on our bowling

Shami is as fast as the Saffers if he bowls to his peak which is just above 146, now 1 or 2 k is just for nerds, with his trajectory, swing, skiddy pace even 146 is more like 150 which is quick, Umesh can bowl 4 k faster on average in rhythm so he can go past 150, now that is seriously quick, if Zak can bowl his pace as showed in Ranji that good enough with his skills. Leave Steyn out and this SA bowling is not g8, Morkle is up n down and doesn't bowl the right length more often, Parnell normally gives away too many runs and has control issues, Tsotsobe , Mclaren are average bowlers. Aussie attack is better then the Saffers with Harris, Johnson, Siddle, Lyon.
