But..sorry for double post ishant who played lot but is inconsistent is bad comparison with Harris who played less but is always best bowler from both sides whenever his body permitted him to play ...that's all I am saying :-)

The reason I said Aamir was because he was only 19(paki years),let us say he was 21 maximum,Was M.O.S before he was banned(totally freaky and stupid),Hailed by everyone as one of the most exciting talents on the horizon,Decent performances to back that statement etc.....Now that is a loss because of its freaky nature....Fannie Devillers is another guy,or all those WI bowlers on the rebel tour to S.A Guys like Bond and Harris were good bowlers whose body broke down often but delivered whenever they could,How is that a loss?

Ishant won M.OS by being fit and available throughout the series,Who needs titles like best bowler among both sides etc;or win the odd match. For a fast bowler the ultimate benchmark should be based over a series by series performance

Its loss cos they could have been legends of our generation as good as steyn :winky: I don't rate aamir this high to me he was lucky to play non those tracks but yeah he did have potential but we have seen tons of guys starting well and losing plot and fixing is losing plot too Asif looked much more skilled to me loved how he made kp his bunny:cantstop:

Ryano err or RHINO has a good action which is very repeatable and hence the consistency and control and he bowls the exact length and line to ask questions and attacks the stumps with good pace he is brilliant.

Greatness is what Steyn does – Season after season, he shows up and delivers for his team. Even Ishant Sharma had a tremendous couple of seasons in international cricket. That does not mean he is labeled a great also.

How many test matches Sydney Barnes played? Still makes it world XI. How many test matches Barry Richards played, still makes it to world Xis?

I don't have alot of sympathy for Amir and Asif, yes they were very gifted but they wrecked their own careers. I feel sorry for the likes of Bond and Harris who could have been truly great bowlers but got injured way too frequently.
