Good support bowler....More effective because of Johnson rampage......Wouldn't rely on him to lead the attack...Not doubting his ability,just his lasting ability. Guys like Steyn and Johnson are freaks of nature health wise more so Steyn who is fit and firing 9/10 times....Johnson while keeps himself available more is hit or miss,But still that is what a spearhead should be

The reason is different. The ball came-in in the air, look at the seam but moved away after pitching. Ball hits the area close to the crack and that certainly played its part in ball moving away rather than coming in. Cook was playing for inswing and at that pace, you do not get much time adjust.

Stroy of ryan harris is perfect example for our fast bowlers.He Just improved and improved with age and hard work.At 34 I have not seen better bowlers than harris .

Look at the clip above. It did not hit the crack, but it was hit very close to that crack and that spot might be a soft part which enabled the ball to go away rather than coming in as it was intended to be an inswinger, coming in the air that foxed Cook.

Not always and it was not even near crack was 2 or 3 inches away And no other ball near crack got deviated this just hit seam that's it just see the video again I saw whole match and crack only came in play when some bouncers were bowled and ball just sailed over batsman

I don't think that crack had anything to do with the movement of the ball. There were few balls where these cracks came in play but that wasn't the case here.

Suprised you like players like bond and harris. They bowleed often at 90mph. Would they not be more effective at 78mph like bowlers you want for our team This is problem with indians We rightly drool over fast bowlers from other countries like Harris, Seyn and MJ(who is not that accurate but quick). Yet when come to pciking and developing players for our team. Hate the fast ones and dont want to invest time in developing and grooming our own weapons. Instead praise and defend to the death trundelrs at 78 mph who get a bit of out swing from a nice line at off stump! Odd double standard O well many will just go with what sunny thinks i.e lets face it we will never have fast bowlers so need to focus on nice pretty accurate bowlers

Harris is a wonderful quick bowler, though not a phaast bowler in that sense. He maintains consistent pace, line and length, and control over swing.

Awesome bowler. Can crank it up to 90mph if required. Never seen a batsman really dominate him. I shudder to think what Johnson and Harris will do to Indian tail-enders later this year.

If he was doing all that at 79 mph he would be avreage. But does at times at 90mph, can crank it when we wants. Why are we so scared to say pace is crucial ingredient here? 250 horse power car when you go at 60 mph it will be smoot 120 horse power car when you go at 60 mph it won't be smooth So capacity determines. Our bowlers are 120 horse power cars Harris, bigger, stronger than any INdian bowler i have ever seen in history. May be Bharat Arun looked bulkier lol. But he was an A grade trundler. Physical attributes plays a role too. This guy doesn't even look like putting effort while bowling those speeds. Our bowlers look like they are going to die when they crank up speed. There is no efforllessness. That includes SHami. Umesh is the only one who looks quick without much effort. Others look like they have to operate at 120% to . Physically and athletically we have a long long way to go . If they crank up for a while they go wayward.. then they lose control.. to correct they automatically slow down. Unless they have some special skill like Wasim Akram who was allowed to be wayward, they will have to be on the money most of the time.
