However the track is already turning considerably and if they have to bat on day 5 it will be a rank turner. If they don't get a lead of at least 100 or more India will hold the advantage because of stronger spinner and deteriorating conditions. Morning session will hold the key.

Only way to win is to get SA out cheaply, bat all day and if we have a 200+ lead, maybe then declare sometime on day 5, making a loss a very hard result in the process. 10 wickets on day 5 is impossible for our bowlers though

With wicket assisting spin even more in the final day and with some help from Shami, we could put some pressure on SA. Still some way to go. The biggest disappointment has been Zaheer. He looked out of steam the whole time he bowled and was just ambling in without any energy.

A batsman friendly wicket was never good for India. I expected India to get around 300-350, SA to bat us out of the game with a 100+ run lead. I am sticking with that. Even if we bat really well in the 2nd innings, bad light and rain means that we will not have the 90 overs on the 5th day turning pitch that we need to get 10 SA wickets. So its looking like either a SA win or a draw.

Surely 100+ since their last 5 are decent batsmen and with Robbie Peterson their batting is stronger than with Tahir. India need to continue to keep the run-rate of SA in check - dont let it go above 3.2 at any stage please. And once SA get all out for a big score - this time Dhawan and M.Vijay really need to bat well as opening combo against pace and spin - Robbie Peterson and Duminy will threaten in 2nd Inn on this pitch. We have to have a good opening stand, though law of averages can catch up with Vijay.
