India have now lost 9 overseas test matches and in the process screwed all the hard work done by Ganguly. After England 4 nil we said - 'Sh1t happens. He just won a world cup. Lets see how he does in Australia.' Mind you India did not won a single game (ODI's & tests) in the English summer of 2011. Australia hammerred us 4 nil again and we said ' Well...poor captaincy. But the dead duck seniors need to go'. We have removed all seniors from the team with an expectation of a turnaround. All the series (luckily) in 2013 was in home. We beat Aussies and WI at home. Unbeatable in 6 tests, ranked no.2,Winning the Champions trophy, Sachin grand retirement - all looked hunky dory.:two_thumbs_up: Amidts all these people forget about our biggest handicap - Winning a test series overseas. :(( Yet again we failed to win a single match in the South Africa downunder. I know its not all Dhoni's fault, but he needs to take the criticism. If we can praise him for winning us all the ICC events we must also criticize him for current Indian test status overseas. There needs to be some accountability as 9-0 is unacceptable.

It is quite clear that Dhoni will stay captain as long as Srini is there. But, if a logical decision has to be taken, there can be no harm in seeing how Kohli performs as a captain in tests. This team needs a bit of aggression while bowling and maybe, Kohli can provide it. In no case is a series of losses entirely or even primarily the fault of a captain. But, it is the way of the professional world that if someone cannot perform then a new person replaces him. Otherwise, what is the incentive to deliver results at all costs. Also, the question of, "whether there is a better test captain than Dhoni " comes to the fore . I think it is time we found out since Dhoni is not delivering in tests. It is more a question of trying to find the best rather than looking for all possible reasons to justify retaining the current captain.

Rope should be cut. i say selectors show the balls to make this change. pujara/kohli as captain/vice-captain. either way. Both can do a good job im sure. Then drop ishant and zak. Appoint zak as bowling coach. Bring in a good crop of fast bowlers incl yadav. You want your new captain to start with quality
