Old guy Posted January 8, 2014 Posted January 8, 2014 It is high time we realize that. Even one bowler can completely destroy any bowling line up if you just have 4 regular bowlers.. As a first step just drop him from all formats. Things will look up. Exactly..for me our bowling has looked lot better first cos of bk and now cos of shami Just look at Australian odi series how things improved after we got rid of both ishant and vinay :hysterical:

Ranji won't help him much. There is no accountability either. He needs independence and also accountability. He will get that only in county.

adi B Posted January 8, 2014 Posted January 8, 2014 yeah pishant needs to work on the basics and rectify his technical glitches,maybe go back to his old coach and a county stint would further help him..look at junaid,even he got better after a county stint..but 1st of all pishant needs to be honest with himself and i have huge doubts over it

MCcricket Posted January 8, 2014 Posted January 8, 2014 I watched yesterdays game quite a bit, SL bowlers Lakmal bowled around 133 k, and Pradeep around 135 k on average , I did not see Eranga bowl last night but he is f/m too nothing special , easily Shami is pacier, Paki BOWLERS were trundling, Junaid around 134 k, Rahat 137 k was better and has good action, did not see Bhatti bowl so I am surprised by the exaggerations on this thread, Shami averages around 139 and 140 and fastest arount 145 k, Umesh can average 141 k and peak at 150 k, Aaron bowls between 140 k and 146 k so it is not the question of pace or lack of it but Dhoni, selectors who are the culprits, add Shukla and Suyal who can bowl at speeds similar to Aaron so we have talent but lack of foresight and thought process to utilize it.
