If we play as well as we did in SA we can beat NZ , am hoping for an improved performance though especially in bowling

We should not compare one on one record of SA with NZ and extrapolate our performance. Doesn't work that way. For one thing you know what you get from Steyn, Morkel. you have played in IPL, you have played elsewhere. But we don't know much about these guys in their own conditions. The unknown factor will come into play

As for India, why do I get the feeling that Dhoni has NO idea what he's saying? Dhoni says a lot of things which are not true ,he is always supportive of the weaker elements of the team.

Dhawan, Vijay, Pujara, Kohli, Rohit Rahane, Jadeja, Ashwin, Ojha, Shami, Ishant, BK, Umesh, Aaron, Raina, Rayudu, Saha, Dhoni himself - this is going to be more or less the set of players who will play for us in the next couple of years across formats. Thats a settled enough squad for me.

Dhoni talks about we lack genuine pacer bowlers but ones we have he does not pick and Umesh is excluded after 1-2 ODI games in SA. I dont know if he expects to get a ready made Steyn, Marshall, Lee, rather than developing them by playing.
