Given the calibre of our current seamers, he has to surely start most games in both formats. Bhuvi and Shami did really well as a pair against Windies in tests and well in this odi vs NZ. We only started leaking runs after ishants inclusion.

If I show you these so called young players stats overseas it will be a shame for all of us. Mind you all of these experienced players are greats and not TTF's, so Ganguly has a point. We have almost forgot winning overseas, yet we keep on persisting with these players just because they are young. I wont mind experience if that bring wins. I can give it in writing if we play the same squad in WC15, we are looking for a super 6 exit. This year all the matches are overseas and it will be an eye opener for all the fans who believe age 33+ is a no no in ODI's.
ThePhenomenal1 Posted January 19, 2014 Posted January 19, 2014 Sometimes I joke with you guys, but in all seriousness: Dhawan, Rohit Sharma and esp Raina do not have techniques for success outside of flat conditions. Sharma is no strike bowler. Your tail is long. Your spinners are not wicket takers. They are not Narine, Ajmal, Mendis or such bowlers. Dhawan is a very good player who needs to sort out his issues but he has shown improvement and will get better. Any team would kill to have a guy like dhawan, ask england or pakistan. Jadeja is the only wicket taking spinner playing in the 11 but mishra is there, i would give him a go

Solution of our current problem is not to call back people who already failed and have shown no improvement but to try new people or people who have been dropped and worked hard and improved Otherwise all we are doing is rotating one younger loser with older loser who has already failed and has done nothing Zaheer got smashed in ranjis by zol and sehwag,bhajji a nd yuvraj have done nothing to get back.. Why not reward players who have done well on a tours ? Shami is one of them and look at his performance going by ur logic we should not have selected shami and went with nehra or munaf:giggle:
