People here are raving about Rahane's performance in SA but I dont think it has proved anything about his odis or his weakness against short pitched bowling. Both raina and Rahane do not belong in odis they cannot play pull or hook , in tests rahane can duck, what is pitiful is these batsmen are making NZ trundlers look like Marshall and Holding. Dhawan has this series to show some thing other wise he can can go to.

Rahane hardly looked clueless like Rohit sharma. RRR like 8.2 is against his basic nature of batting. He does have some draw backs. Most to do with lack of power hitting. Technically he looked much better.

yeah but harsh to blame the tail.the openers and Raina have sucked too.can't have 3 out of 6 batsmen completely failing.Rohit takes balls to fail too lol we should look to restrict them a bit too.if Aaron comes in for Ishant,I think we can get them under 275 which is chaseable

I blame Kohli for this mess If he wasn''t so damn good, we wouldn't have a standing chance. Take him out of the equation, and we would have received a 100+ runs thrashing every match. Because of him, our margin or victory is really low and it seems as if we have a standing chance if our bowlers didnt bowl, if our openers weren't slow. We have got major problems. Better to play pujara as an opener in the future with rahane/nohit 2 down ..we need a stable,solid top order in Australian conditions rather than hitters..india have to Change their gameplan for the wc..u can't win matches every time hoping the batsmen will bailout..India needs to be more bowling eccentric for the next one year and try to win matches with good bowlers coming in and contributing along with the batsmen and and fielders. In saf world cup we played well as a unit and since the bowlers bowled well,the batsmen were confident and vice versa.. Lets improve our bowling exploits!!
