jf1gp_1 Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 For T20 and Test Format Virat is the man to go to but right now asking him to lead the side for 2015 is too much he is our best batsman and being captain the pressure will be too much on him should be captain after the 2015 WC and you think Virat will magically make us a world class bowling side ???
coffee_rules Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 With so many overseas losses, it is the right time to introspect. The 2 series losses from the same team, indicates a ability issue. They don't look like winning any match. Openers taking their own sweet time and then give up. Dhawan is unsure what to do. With a non-existent MO, they are not sure whether to be aggressive or save wickets till end. None of his bowling picks are working out. He wants to give a long rope to batsmen because traditionally India has won on big batting, but we should be at least be defending 325+ scores. They will go back home and play Asia cup etc and get back to winning ways and we will forget all these losses in a jiffy.

I never said that my friend I have said previously as well that MS should continue till 2015 WC for ODI matches.But for T20 in Bangladesh we should try Virat as skipper

Apologizes missed your previous post. I just think captaincy is one of the many contributing reasons of our recent poor performance.

He has taken some odd decisions and has rightly been criticized but at the end of the day captain is as good as the team. Ponting is one of the worst aussie captain i have seen yet he has won it all. [b']You can clearly see Delhi lobby getting Ishant in squad, binny family got a quota seat, Srini i am sure has his quota player ashwin; as a captain you have to deal with all this internal pressure and lets not overlook our lovely media. Dhoni is struggling now imagine putting a kid through all this and expect to win world cup in 11months time. It does not matter.He was removed as captain after australian tour and srini saved him.Allplayers on those tours are gone and they deserved it but one guy who is left is the captain.He has to be made accountable for all those defeats until u close that chapter indian cricket will to go forward.

How will it change the fact we stop bowling short and wide, will that give us power players at 6 and 7 or a bowling allrounder. To play the kind of cricket you want us to play you need right set of players. Get even a james faulkner kind of player, a morkel (not even asking for styen or johnson or watson slight lower rug players). how will the likes of kohli, rahane, rayadu pujara win ODIs when our bowlers give 320+ every game.
