vijay50 Posted March 2, 2014 Posted March 2, 2014 If bhuvi cannot pick early wickets, he mst be dropped to sort out his problems. The reason we were so successful in 2010-2011 was Pravin Kumar used to pick early wickets all the time.
jf1gp_1 Posted March 2, 2014 Posted March 2, 2014 we didnt lose the game because of an individual, yes we could have won had couple of things gone our way but there are core issues with the team. Inability to take singles, almost every batsman is culprit. Lack of fire power lower down the order, the selectors got the squad wrong all thanks to Binny and his love for his son. We are a good fielding side yet we have failed at key points in both the game against SL and Pak. We used to do small things right and thats why we used to win almost every ODI. Jaddu is allowed an off day with ball; this pitch with short boundaries was killed for any fast bowler, so dont blame them.

I'd try Pujara instead of Rahane,Rayudu looked like he belongs in this format thats a plus,and when MSD comes back,we can begin whipping Lungans and Pakis again.

They did their best. Frankly this is their best as a unit . Infact 240 is a big total for this unit considering Kohli made only 5 runs.

Sidhoni Posted March 2, 2014 Posted March 2, 2014 We were lucky match didn't get over in the 49th over, he bowled 2 dangerous length balls but the batsmen failed to capitalize. He is NOT a death bowler. But I won't drop him just as yet. He has done a great job of keeping his economy below 5 when others are well over 6.

At one point I thought my efforts were wasted , but that last over finish was the best. Indian fans don't be disapointed, you guys played well. Your team gave us the best match of the tournament.
