Broad was dropped too if I'm not wrong.dropping doesnt mean writing him off forever but recognising that he has issues to work on and that he doesn't fit in best XI in given conditions
Johnson was dropped after just 2 one dayers.

Bhuvi has improved his death bowling, and bowling yorker length balls consistently. So Bhuvi and Shami should be part of WC squad. Aaron has a good chance to make it there, if he bowls good length balls at stumps line , and use short ball judiciously. Pandey deserves a chance, but I am not sure of his list A stats.

Well my opinion of Bhuvi is what many people's opinion of Aaron is... I think he won't develop into a wicket taking bowler or one that can contain runs at death because of his lack of pace and it's not worth it to invest in him for future.

its not one match though. His figures in nz were the worse for indian bowlers as well. Needs to get his mojo back thats all.

Look, if he gets dropped, it's not because we in ICF criticising him... It's our experience with Indian cricket that we are saying he needs to grab his chances fast and bowl using his brains...especially when bowlers like him who are not favourite or don't have any backing... The way he's going about his career, I'm sure he'll get dumped pretty soon... Then keep on blaming ICFers or keep on saying "we deserve trundlers"... Nothing changes and nothing matters...

Spot on. He might have similar fate to Umesh. Even if you go for runs, at least need to start picking more wickets by bowling aggressively like Shami did.

He is better than Aaron, no doubt. Recently he bowled Karnataka to Irani and Ranji trophy wins, and is doing his bit and performing.

i feel sick seeing some of the comments, and specially the guy who wrote that article should get a kick in the back side, people like these are the reason, india is struggling to get fast bowlers. I've seen, Brett Lee, Mitch Johnson, Anderson get beaten senseless, but they were persisted with, because they had the skill which HARDLY 10% of the bowlers in the WORLD have and that's PACE.... Hope this varun guy learns more skills and PROVES PEOPLE WRITING CRAP HERE that such big loosers they are...
Mitchell Johnson was dropped numerous times till he went back to the basics and improved his skill. Until we see the same motivation or improvement from Varun Aaron, he is useless. International matches are not where he should learn the basic skills.

Aaron has not began his career well. not saying Aaron cannot bounce back, but rather IMO its futile to compare him to Johnson.
