That comparison is not valid as Bk has not got a single over seas test and the few he played were on absolute roads

Even in overseas tests he was not selected for a single test. He is exclusively for ODIs as of now

He also played on the road of Kolkata against WI like BK in his 2nd test and had 7 wickets in the match. I am not degrading BK here, but saying Umesh is a must in tests, home or away. BK as of now has cemented his place in ODIs and his test bowling is not going work at least on Indian pitches and he will have to wait for his chances overseas since Zaheer is there and Ishant has his flash in the pan performances.

He does not belong in the one day set up, as presently constituted. Vinay/Ishant are better bets than him. Goes on to show where he stands.

Fast bowlers do go for a lot of runs, they get wickets, if you don't give long enough rope you will nurture only the likes of Vinay Kumar.

That's exactly why we don't have any So many fast bowlers have struggled in odis , especially at start of carrer. But other countries give them a run, help to develop them etc etc and also don't confuse odis and tests. I mean many fast bowlers struggle in odis on flat lifless tracks in indian subcontinent. Other countries get this and understand overall value of fast bowers. Meanwhile in india....
