In t20s you have to hit strokes the moment you walk in at no 5 and that is something dhobi cannot do period. If he is denied length balls he can be curbed and contained with ease. He is a limited batsman, yes, when it comes to conventional cricketing ground shots not when he goes for big shots. He can deal with any yorker, length, short, slower except if it is just short of length on off stump by a tall fast bowler with some extra bounce, he finds it hard to clear boundaries.

His 110 SR in t20s is like 60 SR in odis, for guy who bats in a position where minimum acceptable SR is 150 plus.No wonder Dhobi has turned winning situations into losses in t-20s.

In odis he usually starts when the least effective bowlers are on, dhobi's greatest asset in odis is not his big hitting but his rotating strike over . He is an awful t20 player.

Dhoni does not hit great bowlers for sixes as easy and as often as you think he does . Show me one odi innings like chennai which Dhobi played outside subcontinent.There he needs to contend what you call is ball movement and swing when they come into equation, our champ becomes chump.
