The show is not offensive,if any reasons for it to be banned it should be because it is substandard, embarrassing and low brow humor. Kapil Sharma's comedy looks way more classy and funny compared to this crap...atleast it caters to the masses and has a market....this AIB thing is not so different from Anu Malik's version of Macarena.

The show was stupid and unfunny' date=' but who goes to the extent of making complaints to the police. Some people must be really jobless in india.[/quote'] I am afraid the country is becoming more and more intolerant with each passing day.

You abet a crime by laughing at a joke? How?
That was in lighter vein. But technically, when you laughing at a offensive joke, then you actually egging on the person who is telling that joke to tell more such jokes. That becomes abetment of crime :dontknow:

Looks like Indians are not ready for offensive humour. Best stick to making fun of darker skinned people and enjoying men dressing up in saris

Jokes which the entire civilized population apart from Asia find offensive, like making fun of someone's skin color, laughing at dwarfs, laughing at transgenders, laughing at cross dressers, laughing at gays,.. everything is ok in India though it mocks people who are actually oppressed in real life However, making fun of privileged super stars, politicians or having consensual mocking is somehow demeaning. I will never understand this country. However, I am glad such cases are coming in the open more and more. Let cases be filed, hopefully it will lead to good discussions in court about the ridiculousness of getting offended at every thing

Have you watched any Russell Peters show? A good chunk of it is racist humor. Have you watched the Comedy Central show Key and Peele? The amount of cross dressing that they do on that show is similar to Kapil Sharma's show. What you're complaining about is not limited to India. Ethnic/Race based humor is rampant worldwide. AIB made fun of Salman Khan's sister during their roast without consent. So there is that. They also cracked jokes about Jesus, for which they have tendered an apology to the Christian community. Present day India is a moderate society. Don't expect it to become California anytime soon.
