ThePhenomenal1 Posted March 23, 2014 Posted March 23, 2014 yuvraj has become a liability in all areas of the game. Rahane is a much better batsman and fielder, he can lift the side.
Number Posted March 23, 2014 Posted March 23, 2014 We haven't reached knockout stage of last 3 world t20s.
Gollum Posted March 23, 2014 Posted March 23, 2014 We either get knocked out in the group stages or go all the way. Still better than reaching semis/finals every time and not winning the cup(Lanka,RSA:giggle:)
NareshK Posted March 23, 2014 Posted March 23, 2014 We haven't reached knockout stage of last 3 world t20s. In 2012, India just lost 1 game, won all the other games and got knocked out because of NRR. In 2009, 2010, our spinners couldnt do much because of conditions. Seamers were not good enough on those tracks. When pitches help spinners, we will be in the game.
Switchblade Posted March 23, 2014 Posted March 23, 2014 Not really. Just that the conditions suited us in England and looks like the same in Bangladesh. Once our spinners get into the game' date=' we are a force.[/quote'] HI CT :two_thumbs_up:
Cricket Tragic Posted March 23, 2014 Posted March 23, 2014 despite all those exams he supposedly gives :cantstop: Everytime! U need to look at VVS thats because he can't post much due to studies :giggle: Welcome back :woot: HI CT :two_thumbs_up: :icflove:
Crookbond Posted March 23, 2014 Posted March 23, 2014 Not really. Just that the conditions suited us in England and looks like the same in Bangladesh. Once our spinners get into the game' date=' we are a force.[/quote'] THIS Welcome back - you have quite a following around here.
Sidhoni Posted March 23, 2014 Posted March 23, 2014 We either get knocked out in the group stages or go all the way. Still better than reaching semis/finals every time and not winning the cup(Lanka' date='RSA:giggle:)[/quote'] True.. we tend to win if we make semis...at least under Dhoni's captaincy :winky:
ThePhenomenal1 Posted March 23, 2014 Posted March 23, 2014 this is a much better bowling unit - bhuvi, shami, aaron, mishra, jadeja, ashwin, raina doing ok no kohli bowling is a plus. i think dhoni has woken up a little but india hasnt in respect of nrr
maniac Posted March 23, 2014 Posted March 23, 2014 If India reaches semis, they are going all the way no doubt.
alexander Posted March 23, 2014 Posted March 23, 2014 We saw it in the Champions Trophy last year. We're seeing it again. Our bowlers look untouchable. Our batsmen are scoring runs with ease. Do India tend to lift their game up at ICC events' date=' or do opponents crumble under high pressure at ICC events and we respond much better to it?[/quote'] Yes. India are very mentally strong. By far their greatest asset. :hatsoff:
game_changerr Posted March 23, 2014 Posted March 23, 2014 Still team is bhagwaan bharose.....dhawan,yuvi woefully out of form,rohit is inconsistent,dhoni still untested(batting) after his comeback.....too many issues:mad:
vijay50 Posted March 23, 2014 Posted March 23, 2014 Care to remember me what happened in 2012 T20 world cup in srilanka? Did they reach semifinals?
vijay50 Posted March 23, 2014 Posted March 23, 2014 I would go on to add that this question applies to srilanka, who always make semifinal or final in most of the tournaments in asia.e.g: WC2011,T20 world cup 2012, asia cup 2014. Its a different issue that they have trouble winning cups. But India also under Ganguly made 13 finals and barely winning one cup.
TNAmarkFrmIndia Posted March 23, 2014 Author Posted March 23, 2014 Care to remember me what happened in 2012 T20 world cup in srilanka? Did they reach semifinals? Lost just one match which was enough to knock India out. Still a pretty good result.
Jersey #10 Posted March 23, 2014 Posted March 23, 2014 I think if we played Pakistan for the first game every time, we would eventually be more alert on day1 and that would help us in the long run. There is always a different sense of urgency while playing Pakistan.
Cricketics Posted March 24, 2014 Posted March 24, 2014 Let's put it this way, most top teams whom India have been losing away from home, get found out too under pressure. We might lose bilateral series to teams like South Africa, but they tend to under perform due to pressure exerted by the oppositions on them in this world tournaments.

Reached the finals of the 2003 World Cup and won the 2007 T20 World Cup.
