Do guys need a real reason to celebrate, drink and party? :phehehe: Its funny how t20 is always the much maligned format of the game, until you actually win something in it and suddenly its the most celebrated format. However, it has to said - The fact that you we have had 5 editions and 5 different winners just in the last 7 years shows how fickle this format is (Btw, any time the English win a limited overs edition tournament automatically discredits that tournament for me. :phehehe:) Compare this to the 50 over cup, where we have 5 different winners in the last 40 years shows how difficult it is, to win that cup. Keeping that in mind, Sri Lanka winning the 96 world cup has to be among the single most astonishing sporting achievements of the last century. You could be an above average cricketing side and still win the t20 cup. If you think about it, but for a epic brain freeze on the part of the kiwis (who couldn’t chase down 120 against the lankans in the last qualifying game), Lanka would not have even made the knock-outs. However, there’s no way you meander your way towards the 50 over cup. Irrespective, congrats to the lankans! They deserve a trophy merely for their incredible consistency in ICC tournaments. And oh btw, Pakistan didn’t win. So who cares! Time to paaaaaaaaatyyyyyy!! :yay:

I can only imagine the kind of celebration/felicitation would have happened if India had won. Their would have been free apartments,cars,cash,..... Team would have been honored by the President, PM would have also for a change said something. Modi would have claimed thanks to Modi wave we won t20 cup.
