jalebi_bhai Posted February 27, 2015 Posted February 27, 2015 @jalebi PDP sayeed will be CM for all 6 years (if the alliance is intact) That seems to be pretty certain Hmm. A few days back I had heard about the alternate theory. Was mentioned on an India TV program.
G_B_ Posted February 27, 2015 Posted February 27, 2015 Hmm. A few days back I had heard about the alternate theory. Was mentioned on an India TV program. You know what happened when the PDP entered a shared deal with the congress? Mufti became CM for 3 years. When the congress turn came at the first sign of trouble (Amarnath land issue) they pulled the plug. Knowing that the BJP will always have such issues due to the nature of their politics. The 3 years of BJP CM is a pipedream. Better to keep the PDP in a position where they have lot more to lose and instead bargain for better ministries. Miufti above all desires to be CM. With the BJP and PDP plus 2 independents they have 55 in a 87 assembly . It gives him a solid platform to live his dream and bury the Abdullah family.

Yep....I'm aware of how these arrangements can fail. Happened with JD(S) and BJP in K'taka as well. Is the Mufti family any better than the Abdullahs?

Clarke Posted February 28, 2015 Posted February 28, 2015 I dont see the market as a get-rich-quick scheme, its better for the avg person as a means to beat inflation and gather 12-15% returns on an avg. On a compounded basis, the investments really add up over the years and decades.

Its a combination of technicals, fundamentals, macros.
Texan Posted March 2, 2015 Posted March 2, 2015 In J&K, PDP gets 16 cabinet ministers to BJP's 6 (including one for Sajjad Lone). Mufti gets full 6 year term. Compromise on article 370. I really don't get what BJP gains from this. It looks like they bent over backwards to form this government. Add to that, they are tying up with a snake who can turn around and bit back any time. I guess they were just desperate to be seen forming a government in J&K, a state where they would have never been predicted to be in governance in the past.
Sachin=GOD Posted March 2, 2015 Posted March 2, 2015 Really pathetic to see BJP continuing the UPA tradition of spending lacs of rupees every few days on useless ads with huge pictures of the Dear Leader.

someone Posted March 2, 2015 Posted March 2, 2015 It's really not easy to analyze BJP decision to ally with PDP. I guess they are thinking long term in some sense and hoping this could spur more "secular alliances" for them. This term is stupid but a very trendy name/topic created by our pathetic mainstream media. Afterall, our MSM weren't pleased with this J&K alliance.

someone Posted March 2, 2015 Posted March 2, 2015 They are upset trhat one of their poster boy bite the dust in J&K election and out of power. They couldn't care who is in power or not as long as it isn't BJP in power. And to make matters worse, BJP is now in power in a Muslim-majority state. So our MSM will see this as a defeat to their propaganda.

Detonator Posted March 3, 2015 Posted March 3, 2015 Any thoughts on the beef ban by Maharastra govt? There are hell lot of outrage and opinions about it, ranging from how useless this move is and how it is a communal act. Some channel is interviewing some qoreshi who says it will render millions jobless.
