I would rather watch RGV ki Aag than participating in a discussion on two-wheelers/scooters. If you want to call that hiding' date=' be my guest.[/quote'] But ironically you discussed on actual two-wheelers/scooters post and you made that post popular also by bringing the topic in almost every thread. :winky:

That is just a metaphor used to sympolize abysmal quality of some posters. :winky:

In bloomberg i read an article that for a foreseeable future , crude wont appreciate by a big margin.. Shale technology is well developed and oil can be extracted again even when the well is kept in idle state for a very long time with little investment. If oil price goes up , dormant wells will be used again to pump oil. our generation is really lucky .. and modi is really one lucky PM.. even if modi does nothing for another 3 or 4 years ( looks like he did nothing important but didnt take any misteps in finance related things so far ), he will get credit and hype for our progress

Rajnath Singh praises himself for getting out of a lift  ....at the CRPF Valor day celebrations where Medals for Gallantry were awarded to 55 CRPF personnel including five who DIED in the line of duty .
obviously those CRPF men will vote for him and Bjp while safe guarding the vote booths. Master plan...

Still petrol price needs to go down to atleast 50 to get middle class sympathy. I expect that to happen in the last 1-2 years of this government

It is because of fracking. However, at current oil prices, fracking is not feasible. This is a cat and mouse game between the US (which employs the fracking technique to drill for oil that was earlier found to be very expensive to get to) and the OPEC. The OPEC does not want to reduce production and they want to hit US oil drillers who use this technique hard so that fracking becomes very expensive. I think oil will probably see an upward trend in the next year or so. Prices might be depressed for perhaps 6-12 more months. At some point, somebody is going to give in and cut production.

As against most people, at a personal level I am actually quite disappointed that oil prices are low. My oil stocks are performing poorly :(( I have used the opportunity to buy more. My selfish part of me is hoping oil prices start going up soon.

The moment price hits a certain level fracking will become economically feasible again and it has been proven that Oil shale can be kept dormant for a period and then production can be restarted without much problem.Oil isnt going to hit anything more than 70-75 in long term.

The Constant

PM Modi's constant companion

Everywhere that Prime Minister Narendra Modi goes, it seems, Gautam Adani is sure to go. The Gujarati businessman .. is one common thread that runs through the many trips that India’s peripatetic leader has made since assuming office nearly a year ago. Last week in France, Adani was prominent in the audience at UNESCO where the PM delivered a 20 minute speech Now Adani, whose interests span infrastructure and power, is in Canada, where Modi is busy discussing energy cooperation, nuclear energy and investments in urbanisation. Adani was a fixture when Modi went to the United States, Australia, Brazil and Japan. In New York, he was frequently spotted going up from the foyer of the New York Palace Hotel to the floor where Modi was staying; he also attended the PM’s address to the United Nations’ General Assembly (UNGA). “Gautambhai is known for his proximity with the PM so now he is flaunting it,†said a top bureaucrat . This relationship may be more in the public eye now, but goes back to the days when Modi was chief minister of Gujarat. Adani journeyed to China, Japan, Singapore and Russia with his leader.

:hatsoff: Early signs of make in India?? Though I heard from good economists that iip is not a very useful measure, and even when it was negative, industry was growing

The media loves hyperbole, to sensationalise. So much so that today sensationalism is a part of the way the media operates. Add to this a government that does not miss an opportunity to blow its own trumpet, what we have is a deadly cocktail of 'Breaking News' and headlines that scream 'For the first time in....', 'Never before....', etc. In this vein, it was surprising (though not all that much) to see screeching headlines on news websites and news channels that Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Canada was the 'first by an Indian PM in 42 years'. So what about then PM Manmohan Singh's 2010 visit to Canada? Was that an illusion? Was the public mislead? Was that a 3D holographic display? (No that's Modi's speciality) Or was it plain coalition compulsion? (Never mind if it does not fit in here. Whenever the Singh is mentioned, 'coalition compulsions' is an add-on)

Although then prime minister Dr. Manmohan Singh had visited Canada in June 2010 to participate in the G-20 summit, the present visit is the first standalone meeting in the last 42 years.
