Vilander Posted May 28, 2014 Posted May 28, 2014 Seriously Ishant Sharma in place of UY ...and that f'r Binny...seriously...
The Realist Posted May 28, 2014 Posted May 28, 2014 Maybe yadav's balls are just too fast for dhoni's hands. Yet dhoni has no problem handling sharma's balls despite all that hair.

Vilander Posted May 28, 2014 Posted May 28, 2014 Why is trundle BK automatic selction? His record in tests is average, Yadavs is much better. Also when that ball gets 12 to 14 overs old, BK is a buffett at test match level. BK cant even deliver with older ball in odis, so forget tests. You watching too much IPL and these 4 over spells! Ishant being dropped is absurd:hysterical: Picking Yadav ahead of SOB Binny is absursd:hysterical: Binny as seam bowling all rounder in TEST matches, Jeez tell me you are joking Me thinks only one thing is absurd and that's this post. Raped again and again with trundelrs and still fastest bowler India possibly has ever had cant get in. Only in India I tell you India deserves it...support Eng in the match dude... I want this Indian team to be humiliated.
vvvslaxman Posted May 28, 2014 Posted May 28, 2014 I strongly feel somebody in the squad will mysteriously get injured and they will fly in Umesh. Already overwhelming criticism. Sandip Patil what did you smoke before coming up with this squad.

Sandip Patil what did you smoke before coming up with this squad. One of the reasons for appointing Fletcher it was pointed was that he liked quick bowlers and would create the right environment for them to thrive. Yet again and again useless trundlers are picked which makes you wonder just what if anything Fletcher actually does for his fat salary.
express bowling Posted May 28, 2014 Posted May 28, 2014 Even if Umesh were picked, he would not get a chance to actually play in tests. Did Dhoni give him a single game in the last 3 test series - WI, SAF and NZ ? Although he was in the squad in all of them and we lost both the overseas series.
wanted_desi Posted May 29, 2014 Posted May 29, 2014 Binny Over Umesh :hysterical: **** you selectors and Dhoni. Should they see how Umesh bowled in Australia?
undisputed chap Posted May 29, 2014 Posted May 29, 2014 Even if Umesh were picked, he would not get a chance to actually play in tests. Did Dhoni give him a single game in the last 3 test series - WI, SAF and NZ ? Although he was in the squad in all of them and we lost both the overseas series. Hope he plays vs aus 'A' & picks up a bunch of wickets while binny & rest are on bench in eng.
CG Posted May 29, 2014 Author Posted May 29, 2014 With all the supreme court saga going on the audacity of the panel to indulge in such neptoism is mind boggling. We blame srini, business man, politicians for the mess in bcci. But are the former players any better ? Shivlal yadav is bcci working pres and we can see sons and daughters team now.
CG Posted May 29, 2014 Author Posted May 29, 2014 I don't see why Varun Aaron makes it and Umesh doesn't. I'm pleased to see that both Pandey and Pankaj Singh have made it though. Even though Binny is a terrible player, you can see why the selectors picked him. It's purely out of hope. It's purely due to his dad.
CG Posted May 29, 2014 Author Posted May 29, 2014 We have 5 fast bowlers selected.Bhuvi Shammi Ishant Pankaj and Aaron. Bhuvi and Shami are automatic choices.Ishant was the highest wkt taker in our last series.Would have looked absurd to drop him. So its btw arguably btw Aaron vs Yadav for the final selection. Its a poor selection picking Aaron ahead of Yadav but not as controversial when u look at Yadav's domestic test format forms. He has a chance in Bang ODIs and Aus A tour.Should use them to get into rythm and target Aus test series. And Binny is choosen as seam all rounder.Maybe Dhawan should have been choosen ahead of him.But saying yadav should have been selected ahead of Binny is absurd when we already have 5 seamers. Yadav is better than All the other 5 bowlers so your thoery is absurd. He has proven he belongs in test cricket rather than guys like pandey, pankaj who are on first tours .Binny a seaming allrounder in tests ,dhoni will do the role better than that moron.
jf1gp_1 Posted May 29, 2014 Posted May 29, 2014 i dont know why people are cribbing ; the squad is on expected lines binny is just a passenger who cares if he is in the squad of 18. Yadav was unlikely to play test made sense to hold him back for A tour. domestic performers have been rewarded. Saha over Kartick in test i believe is a good move, lets he how he performs if he gets an opportunity, we need a replacement once Dhoni retires atleast from test after 2015 WC.
undisputed chap Posted May 29, 2014 Posted May 29, 2014 Guys umesh will play much important aus 'A' tour so no worries. This is just a meaningless series with a foregone conclusion.

Of course it matters in a 5 match Test series. Yadav's exclusion is gonna hit us hard and bad. Roger Binny should be ashamed of himself for favoring his fat, useless son. Would obviously root for India but watching Binny play Test cricket would be one of those disastrous days of Indian cricket after Vinay Kumar's debut in Perth.
cowboysfan Posted May 29, 2014 Posted May 29, 2014 Even if Umesh were picked, he would not get a chance to actually play in tests. Did Dhoni give him a single game in the last 3 test series - WI, SAF and NZ ? Although he was in the squad in all of them and we lost both the overseas series. agree with this but he should have been in the squad anyway, binny is a joker and he will never be an international player.Yadav's career might be over if some new guys like pandey step up.
SLICKR392 Posted May 29, 2014 Posted May 29, 2014 Yadav wouldn't have sit out, IMO. Yes, he probably won't be considered in the first 2 Tests but would have eventually got a chance. Unlike the WI (home), SA and NZ series, this is a 5 match series where everyone will get a shot at the XI in some point of the series. Hopefully I'm proved wrong, but I have no hope for Aaron in Tests. Not based on IPL, I had this opinion before it began.
rkt.india Posted May 29, 2014 Posted May 29, 2014 Selectors have selected Test plus ODI squad. Binny is selected for ODIs as a no-rounder, not tests. This is mistaken that Binny is selectd over Umesh, no, that is not the case. Aaron and Pankaj have replaced Zak and Umesh from last test series in NZ.
rkt.india Posted May 29, 2014 Posted May 29, 2014 Umesh has 2 MOTMs for KKR this season. He has done well after a scratchy start to the season, .
