vvvslaxman Posted July 9, 2014 Posted July 9, 2014 This is a very slow paced wicket. Most of the deliveries are not carrying to the wk and this is just the first day. Slow pace and bounce means batsmen have enough time to play the seamers. Only some swing with the new ball and reverse swing can help the seamers. We did have such batting beauties in those two tours. We were not upto the mark. Even Mishra made 91 runs in the last England tour. But our seniors went missing.

The pitches were they scored 700 was an utter patta and yet we managed to lose. Sachin and Mishra's 100+ stand pitch was an other chance to draw. Laxman, TBH was the most disappointing from the trio, in that 0-8.
