/\ I hear you.. But you are undermining many a great spells by the likes of Srinath, Venky Prasad, Agarkar, Zaheer etc... It doesnt happen often, but it has happened in the past and am sure its only going to get better.

So finally our cricketer holds the best ODI bowling record. Doubt there must be anything better than that in ODI?

 

Hope some pacer does the best bowling record in Test format as well. 

 

Like you can't compare Bradman and other bats,men, you can't compare Lord Binny and other bowlers.

I doubt 5-1-8-5 has been achieved by any of our pacers in test format. To clarify i meant innings bowling effort. Mentioned spell because in Roach's case that was the only spell he could bowl.

 

Which bowler bowled such a test spell ?

Is there any one who bowled such an test innings spell ?

Kapil bowled a superb spell against England. I don't recall the  spell figures but it was way back in 80's.

even our Irfan Pathan also had at least one spell which looked very impressive..even srinath has had more than 1 spell where he has got 4 or 5 wickets for quite less runs ( under 25 runs)..

 

opposition is also important ...even binny got 6 wickets against bangla on a seaming wicket,,,,is the bowler capable to bowl well in other pitches too...is it a one off...

  I remember one spell at wankhede by Srinath i think vs WI , an evening spell . he looked very scary .. 

  Might not have picked many wickets but looked very hostile

Nothing to take away from the bowlers today. The captain needs to understand that the INdian team is not a whorehouse which he can fill up with his buddies through whom he is making money. The dhonis, raina, rohit's have to kicked out or India is in deep sheet!

Good to see Umesh bowl well and bowl a lot of yorkers in the end overs of both T20Is.

BK doesnt look like 100%. He had increased his pace to higher 130s earlier but now back to lower 130s.

Sameness in the pace attack and lack of natural bounce or extra pace among specialist pacers ( with Umesh prefering to bowl fast-medium so far today ),  has adversely affected our bowling as expected  (  with no swing on offer  )

 

The only wicket to fall in the first 8 overs was a full ball that followed a good bouncer.

I guess it's good he is preserving his energy. He needs to last 5 tests as well.
