This is cricket not football. And how much invovement does Mourinho has with technical skills and how much with tactical things?Teaching bowling skills is a technical thing. And i wonder why test teams choose proven test players like Mcdermott/Bond/Donald/Waqar/Vaas as their bowling coaches while we choose Bharat Arun/Joe Dawes/EricSimmons.
Jose rose through the ranks and worked all jobs from technical to tactician to even being an interpreter. Atleast Arun was a cricketer who made represented his country. Also with Bond etc there is a big language barrier issue. Its not just about skill.

the point is he still won the champions league with Porto and was given a chance at Porto In this case Bharat Arun has won the under 19 world cup. So your not talking about somebody picked up from no where
What use is winning under 19 world cup to how to bowl in test cricket? The issue here is test cricket. What has he achieved as player or coach in test cricket? If he has no experience how he is going to help our bowlers in these conditions ? Porto took gamble becoz they always take gambles to survive. When was the last time a big club take a gamble with a nobody ? They won't .Becoz u don't win much by taking these gambles 99% fail like AVB

Please enlighten me with the fact about the technical footballing skill that Mourinho helped top class footballers with. Interpreting isnt a footballing skill.

Arun was a very avg player who represented his country just like Binny is.

So Kirsten/John Wright etc didnt have language barrier? They have to talk about technical things and not discuss each others life stories in shakesperean english. What skills will a guy teach when he himself didnt have them in the first place?

Since we don't have any 135 k+ pacers who are accurate... the next best bet will be a 130-137 k pacer who is tall ' date=' with bounce, accuracy , swing and wicket taking ability. Like Ishwar Pandey maybe.[/quote'] For us to be a potent attack, we cant just fill our team with 130k bowlers. There has to be at least one bowler who can push the opposition on the back foot. And if that bowler has accuracy issues he needs to learn and get better. Some leniency has to be shown to such bowlers as they can learn best at the international level. Obviously such bowlers cant go for so many runs but some leeway has to be given to such bowlers.

But their basic action flaws have to be ironed out and they need to practice really hard. Without that they will never be effective. I personally would prefer atleast 2 genuine quicks in the team provided they look in rhythm. That being said, every team needs atleast 1 workhorse like bowler who can bowl a lot with pinpoint accuracy throughout the day. I would prefer that bowler to be tall and bouncy. Someone who can run in all day and bowl with effort. Not drop his pace easily. And is very accurate. Another issue is ....what we see are release speeds. The batsman won't feel that pace unless the bowler can get zip and purchase off the deck. For that, the seam position and release has to be right and the bowler should hit the deck hard at correct areas. A tall pacer , with good seam position and release, hitting the deck hard .....often push the batsmen on the back foot while bowling in the 130s. An old Srinath, after losing pace and bowling in the 130s, used to make more batsmen jump than Umesh in the 140s is doing.

bhuvi could bowl 136-138 not long ago' date=' should have been kept to LOIs after england. Has no business playing aussie tests right now.[/quote'] Even when he did bowl 136-138 those were a very small proportion of his total deliveries. Barring a few IPL matches with 4 over spells, the max he can bowl is at around 133-135 average and even that probably happened a year back against New Zealand in some spells.
