Maybe he knows he will have to bowl many overs back to back...hence trying to conserve his energy.

In Tests, usually bowlers clock bit slower to conserve energy and dont go all out.

Bumrah is consistently in 136-138k range, Siraj & Akashdeep around 132-134k.

siraj's fastest today which i saw was 139.6 k and he bowled many 138K + today. he bowled from 130 to 139.6k

boom's fastest was also under 140K

akash has bowled from 131 to 138k

@express bowling

@ungboysj Dear Ungboy

express can only suggest what is available BEST in INDIA, he is supporting the best talent that we have - harshit, prasidh, siraj are definitely one of the best pacers in india and you may find some as good as them but definitely not better than them.

Siraj is one of the best we have as Mayank yadav, SHAMMI, UMRAAN .KUldeep SEN -all who can be considered better are not playing domestic cricket too. pacers in india are bowling on patta wickets and on patta wickets , even a brett lee , shaun tait, dale steyn will fail so unless bcci looks to make fast tracks , we wont get genuinely fast bowlers.

we are lucky to get boom siraj mayank yaadav srinath zaheer khan in india.

Lack of extra pace and bounce is hurting our bowlers here.

The big difference between Perth on the one hand and Adelaide and Brisbane on the other, has been the pace and bounce we generated.

In Perth, both Harshit and Bumrah were Fast and hit batters on the body often enough. Fastest in the mid 140s for both these quicks.

In the last 2 tests it is basically brisk medium stuff being dished out.

Bumrah is conserving himself because we lack a 2nd strike bowler.

We kept playing Mukesh snd Unadkat in the Dravid - Rohit period and did not develop any quicker strike bowlers. Paying the penalty now on expected lines.

Dumping Harshit. based on one bad day with the pink ball, may not have been the best decision.

He was good to decent on other days in this series. And is a wicket taker and can bowl hostile spells.

Indian bowlers are not used to bowling with the pink ball. It behaves differently. Bumrah is a freak and succeeds despite new challenges but can't expect rookies to do the same.

Australia on the way to scoring 600+.

Our bowling is looking pedestrian and medium paced.

Some hope with 2nd new ball. Need atleast 2-3 in next 10 overs

Bumrah, Harshit and Prasidh have pace and bounce in this squad.

Harshit and prasidh aren't playing in this game. Bumrah has been medium paced.  When conditions get flat, you need bowler who can consistently be around 145, can hurry batsmen on bouncers. Siraj bowling 135k short stuff wasn't going to trouble head.

Bumrah can be fast when he wants to. Was so in the first test.

But need more dependable pacers to support him if we want him to bowl flat out regularly.

In this test he is the lone warrior ... and how can he bowl flat out in such a case ?

Have seen very few such pacers in my life who are consistently around 145 k in tests and have bowled well.  Only Starc and Johnson in their best years after Lee and Shoaib.

The current 145 k pacers in tests all have very high bowling averages and are no good.

In tests, what we get is good quality consistently around 140 k pacers with good bouncers.

Steyn bowled 145 kph when needed. You don't need 145 all the time but someone who has that gear.
