Ishant can be metronomic can keep  hitting the same line and length. He has a very good inswinger that will bring stumps into play more often than not.  Also his natural height helped him with bouncec. He can bowl very long spells.

For his height he lacked bounce though,got desciplined from 2015 onwards,Arun again here

Yea.. Age caught up with him. But he was phased out at the right time. We have to phase out other bowlers too. First they have to find  bowlers who can bowl for a long time without getting injured. Don't want one match wonders.

yeah a workhorse kinda bowler. Ideally tall. Young seamers dont seem to be keen on fitness

It's now time to rebuild test team from top to bottom. Forget next WTC and build the team. If you keep thinking about WTC, you will continue to rehash players in the name of experience. How will next gen get experience then. Failed to win to consecutive WTC anyway with experience.

Been saying this for aeons. 

 

But bcci with their infatuation with eggsperience will never allow players to grow and present chances. One off final doesn't mean squat. These players have experience. They are freaking young and ready. 

 

Fast bowlers need to be unleasge early at 22-29. Not when they are 30 plus.

Nha that was all bumrah. Worst bowling ever. Just came back from injury. Should never have played. Even the nz series he shouldn't have been rushed. 

Siraj was in red hot form. He should have been picked. Match may have ended differently.

Say 10 tests per year. Equals to roughly 350 - 400 overs. That's 2400 balls

 

Ipl 4 overs 16 games including finals if they make it. 

384 balls roughly. 

 

Ofocurse thats excluding training and warm up games. 

 

Its sad but true. I mean only cricketers from young gen who are passionate about tests will do well.

what you needs is not experience but EGGSperience. the EGGS are what matter
