Siraj has tremendous ability,he is a rythmic bowler

On song bowls peaches,but his problem is he tends to experiment a little eg often uses wobbled seam

Out of rythem can serve you half vollies on platter (even that has to an aggressive batsman like Bairstow)

He's an aggressive bowler,can't contain like Ishant ,so needs to pick wickets else he will look worse

yes, a bit too short, but also he is a rhythm bowler -- bit like nehra, who also had a middling Test record

Siraj is not a leader of the attack material.  He is already 29 and will be a support bowler because of his temperament.  Bumrah is a leader.  All top fast bowling leader of the attack have had mostly good temperament.  Siraj gets riled up easily like Sreesanth which leads to lack of consistency.

Correct. Both can be absolutely devastating on their day but it will be sprinkled with lot of Inconsistency. 

Dont forget sree helped us win the WC. He was very good in odi in certain conditions. Even in SA for tests he did well. Was just very inconsistent. He had pace bounce etc. 

 

Siraj is more talented albeit a bit slower. See could bowl 135-145 consistently. Siraj is more 133-141 bowler. 

 

I do think siraj can be lethal but fame has got to him. He lost that fire in tests. Since that injury in SA he hasn't been the same in test. Hope he gets back to form. But man oh man he is on fire in odi. Ridiculous average so far. He might help us win the WC in India.

Siraj seems to be getting better at ODIs, which is ok since Boomer was in decline for a few years in ODIs.

Combination of being a bit unlucky and conceding too many runs by trying to over attack IMO. That has affected his average especially. That approach is good for white ball cricket but you don't need to attack and be aggressive even when conditions are not suiting you and the batsmen are set in tests. Part of this problem imo is also the loss of Arun and the arrival off Mhambrey who are focusing only on attacking the stumps and have no answer when the situation calls for some dry bowling.

I actually think Siraj is someone who has decent bowling intelligence ie he often mixes up his relatively fuller stock balls with bouncers without any team plan or instruction to go short all by himself.

Kaverappa needs promotion..even though medium pace he is picking good number of wkts..consistenly..

he has got the height and consistency it seems to be decent bowler in SENA…

better than Mukesh Krs and Unadkats or any trundler..

his averages are really good..

Haris Rauf was quick today. Hit the 150 kph mark first game back after his wedding. Good signs for the worldcup. Needs to stop overdoing the slower ball tho.

In odi? Yea he is rapid. Shame he cant play tests. I think captain could handle him better in tests too if he uses him is spurts like stokes does with wood. 

Does he not have interest in playing tests?

He's quite old doesn't have it in him like Wood to bowl bare minimum in tests

I think er could useful umran in spurts to be honest.
