Any particular reason/theory why Ind selectors at all domestic/Intnl level nt favouring 145 kmph+ bowlers- Are Rohit-Rahul Co. are totally against against any kind of pace.

Heard they were asking for Spinners' friendly wkts for WCs.

Tiyagi's name is often quoted here but he doesnot seems to play a lot of cricket in between IPLs (In IPLs too he hardly gets any chance) so they can not pick him.

Also in Emerging cup there was just 1 genuine fast bowler in Rana,  Rajwardhan is not an opening spell bowler.

Kartik played full DMA Trophy and VH trophy which are good enough to be picked for limited overs sides whether emerging or A team.

After almost three decades of being an ICT fan, I think  it's time to move on from indian cricket and focus on typical middle age stuff like investing, travel, cars, etc.

Enough of cheering these malnourished/fat batsman who wet their pants at the first sign of challenge, fat/malnourished trundlers who can't bowl pace or bounce and oldies spinners who either need dug up pitches or West Indian batsman to be of any use.

Good luck ICT for becoming the first host failing to win the world cup since 2007.

Tall, Quick, Bouncy and 22 year old Kartik Tyagi has 20 wickets from 12 List A matches, averaging 28.

But he is not in the Zonal List A squad even.

Short, Floaty, Medium paced, 29 year old Mukesh Kumar has 26 wickets ftom 24 List A matches averaging 37.

But he is in the ODI squad.

He has 7 wickets from 10  IPL matches. ER of 10 5.  Average of 47.

But he is in the T20I squad too.

Is this some kind of a scam ????

Tall, quick, bouncy Kuldeep Sen has 27 freaking wickets from 14 List A matches averaging 23.

And he is not good enough for the Central Zone List A team !!

The selectors are jot looking at domestic performances either as they claim to do.

Indian batsmen are rubbish,we saw how our next big hope sudarshan got bullied on an absolute flat track in sl by pak pacers. On quicker pitches he will be a sitting duck. The rest are even worse than him.

Most Indian batters, who actually make it to the Indian team, are very good against genuine  pace and bounce.

There is a reason why India is the No.1 ranked test team now, with 2 series wins in bouncy Australia.

Those two tours were exceptions , generally we lose  to Australian state teams. And nowadays we are back to our old ways,I think we will be humiliated in the upcoming tours.

Arshd Iqbal was getting thrashed at 8 rpo by Abhishek and Sudhardhan. Got a fluke wicket as Sudarshan mistimed the shot.

Not really.Arshad bullied him in the previous over, sudarshan was clueless in front of him, even lobbed up a catchable ball as he fended at a arshad thunderbolt.

Sudharsan hammered pathirana bowling 150kph in the IPL final, actual India A players would be jaiswal, gaikwad, paddikal, tilak, patidar all great players of pace.

Naaa he got a good working over. Was all at sea against the pace in the previous over. Watch the highlights again. He also beat Hangargekar for pace, both batters were 5 mins late on the ball.

Naa,previous two overs he had no problems facing him

Being a stylish batsman,he is not a dasher,he was taking his time but scoreboard pressure was immense that he had to manufacture that shot

Still early days,Iqbal came back well but wasn't that terrific that you are making him to be

A genuine question for the historians

what’s the quickest an indian bowler has officially clocked in international cricket. Has anyone clocked a higher speed than Shaheen Afridis 154 kph vs Southafrica officially?

Umran 156 vs Sri Lanka in January 2023.

Second is Bumrah with 153.4.

Umesh is 152.5...Ishant, Shami and Aaron are also 150+

Aaron if he was persisted with, had the ability to be India's fastest

He was insanely quick,he was way quicker than any of the quicks from either side(India, Australia)that had Johnson,Starc,Umesh

True...he was someone who clocked 150+ multiple times in his short career. Was someone who always wanted to bowl fast.

Unlike some pacers who bowl one delivery in 150+ range and rest all in early 140's..Aaron was always in mid to late 140's. He was a sensation when arrived in the scene.

I am worried Tyagi don't fall in same path, just like Aaron he also has changed his action leading to loss of control.

Arrey bhai i already told so many times, Kartik Has not changed his action.  He just reverted back to his original action which he bowled with in u19 WC. He had tweaked his action a but when he was with RR.
