Umran actually lost track because he was being used as a bounce bowler..which he isn't.

Umran's USP is bowling fast deliveries on to the wickets ..some full and some yorkerish. That's how he blow away likes of Miller in IPL.

 

Bowling hit the deck is natural to Prasidh, Harshit, Hangargekar who are tall lads..Yudhvir is another one who is built like a tank and can bowl hit the deck deliveries day and night, so does Gurnoor.

 

Prasidh and Umran can be a lethal combo, one gets awkward bounce and hit on ribcage, Umran can be skiddy like Shami. I really hope we get Bharat Arun back.

Their reading of the game has been totally off right from.the start of their tenure. 

 

Samson is being used as a lower order hitter. Now when has he done well in this role ?

 

Dravid once said that Arshdeep is doing well in ODIs. Now when has that happened ?

 

They don't know how to utilize the players they have. 

 

Prasidh, Harshit, Tyagi, Sen, Mayank, Mohsin and Hangargekar are the tall, hit the deck quicks. And they have utilized short and skiddy Umran as a bounce bowler. Amazing !!

England have picked Gus Atkinson in their World Cup squad.

 

He is supposedly express pace.

 

He hasn't debuted in international cricket yet and still makes it to the WC squad due to his pace. 

 

Thing is, most countries just die to pick express pacers. India is the only exception.

Yes, got upto 150 kmph (The Hundred), bowls from close to stumps.

 

Express pace is not easy to come-by (v.rare commodity), even Lee, Tait were picked early. Cummins was picked early as well when he was 145 kmph+.

Bowlers donot bowl express throughout their life, its a very short period of time and most teams tries to make most out of it

 

Aus just picked Spencer Johnson who was not even a part of their domestic set-up 6 months back just because he has extra pace

 

Ind team looks for complete pace bowler who do not have pace.

For bowling some 10-20 balls over the  weekend and then to play 50 overs game is a feat itself. But age catches-up its not about if he as mileage on him or not.

 

Imo decrease in Umran's pace was due to the ppl in his ears - Check what Lara (SRH mentor)said and we all know ind TM thoughts on fast bowling -"Slow, very slow and wavery " is their choice for Ind intnl

Even Praisdh wasn't a regular for Karnataka, but he is better than many domestic pacers.

Tyagi is from UP which has most number of next gen fast bowlers, its not easy to break in consistently given you have place for only 2/3 quicks. On top of that it's a largest state in India in terms of population.

 

States like Gujrat & Maharashtra has 3-3 teams, which allows more exposure. UP has only one.

If he is not breaking into his state team how realistic is it to expect him to break into team India anytime soon? Its not possible. Just a pipe dream because i dont think the selectors see him as a back up.

Why are you acting dumb? Everyone and their dog knows that Indian team selection is based on the IPL performances. Tyagi is a regular for SRH and will likely play for India in the near future now that shami/Bhuvi/Umesh will be binned forever.

Are Umran, Tyagi playing any domestic tournaments? Umran has been totally wasted. They carried him in the team, played him for 2-4 overs a series and then also messed up his thinking with some inept coaching. And then what else do u expect with this village clown as the captain.

Anyways up to him now to make a comeback. Might need some time to cleanse himself of the garbage that’s been fed to him. Important that he actually starts playing.

Dont know wtf is going on with Tyage lol. Keep hearing his name and then he’s played nothing. Better to find some place where he gets some game time. Ne needs to take the initiative himself

Because breaking into a state team needs a lot of other factors.

State team selection rewards mostly the pacers who are playing tournaments for long time. Shivam Mavi is a prime example who found a place in UP Ranji squad only from 2022 on regular basis once the seniors hang their boots.

 

Also, FYI..Tyagi don't get a place in Ranji..but he regularly plays VHT & SMAT (50 & 20 over domestic tournaments). So it's not like he is on sideline totally.

 

Even the UP T20 tournament starting from 30th August, he is part of Meerut Mavericks team which will be lead by Rinku Singh.

Tyagi played Vijay Hazare and Syed Mushtaq Ali.

He will play UP T20 tournament next..so does Purnank

FYI, Tyagi played both premier limited over tournaments last season and did well. He missed only when he was injured. Not because he wasn't good enough.

Tyagi picked up 10 wickets ftom 5 List A matches in the last VHT.  That is quite impressive.

 

Should have played Ranji Trophy too.

I think he got injured in Ranji...Read an news on UPCA insta that Mohsin and Tyagi were on standby due to injury.

Lol chill. Why isn’t he playing ranji? A guy with those skills should be a default pick. That’s common sense. 
And some of these line/length issues will get sorted too by bowling more at that age.
