Just saw the scorecard, Siraj going at 8+ runs per over against his favorite team while rest going at 3.5.

 

What the TM sees in this guy I will never understand. First name on team sheet in all formats. Is he there to play jester role in Chahal's absence? Do kaudi ka bowler with stinking attitude, behavior.

Parag impressive as a spinner on ODI debut.

 

Bowling off spinners to LHB and some leg breaks to RHB 

 

Getting big turn with both deliveries, albeit on a helpful track.

 

Has bowled straight sliders too 

 

Good enough control so far.

All that bowling in domestic cricket shows. You don't get control just bowling 4 overs in T20s.

It is becoming quite disheartening to observe the current state of Indian cricket, particularly from the perspective of fast bowling.

 

Despite four years of international experience, Siraj's bowling continues to lack direction and precision.

 

Since Bumrah's debut in 2016, no young fast bowler under the age of 25 has been given an opportunity to represent India. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has squandered valuable time and opportunities by persisting with bowlers like Avesh and Mukesh.

 

Indian bowling, much like its batting, relies heavily on one or two players, while others are content with playing supporting roles.

 

The BCCI has launched several "fast bowling programs," but there seems to be a lack of transparency and accountability regarding their implementation and effectiveness. It is unclear what initiatives are being taken to ensure that these programs are making a tangible impact on the ground and not just remaining on paper.

 

While the recent T20 victory was a moment of joy, there was an underlying concern that the BCCI might revert to complacency and make questionable decisions in the coming years. The team selections for the Zimbabwe and Sri Lanka tours have only heightened these concerns. Unlike Cricket Australia (CA), the BCCI does not appear to be as serious and focused in its efforts to maintain India's status as a consistent contender.

In last 3/4 yrs they just added Mukesh and Siraj to test bowling line-up when they have lost 2 good bowlers -Umesh, Ishant.

Are Mukesh & Singh good for anything other than t20Is ??? Why did they waste the time with Unadkat -- What was the plan of having him and not trying to groom some upcoming younger bowler??

 

Avesh and khaleel are being recycled, can understand khaleel's inclusion in T20Is. LAF have some kind of advantage in T20s but he has shown no improvement and looks like he is good if some IPL picks him.

each team will have 4 pacers,2 spinners n all roundersn batters...

i think it will be golden opportunity for karthk,umraan,mayank to grab wickets...heard guys like wasim bashir n other pacers will also be in competition .

Do not think uncapped-IPL players will get a chance, unless some1 is looked upon as a test only batter or bowler.

How long is Mayank gonna be out?? Even people with stress fractures are back in 4-5 months on most occasions unless there’s a surgery.

 

Hes at that age where he is going to get injured. So at some point he should start playing instead of spending excessive periods of time in fitness centers. Manage the workload, rest when injured but ALSO start playing when you can.

 

Also absolutely no news. Dont we have sports journalism these days??

He is fit and bowling in NCA.

There is no point in choosing medium to short height medium pacers unless they are amazing bowlers.
