IPL is not and never was the way forward for him and Kuldeep Sen etc. These guys should have been monitored in domestic and picked to play ODIs.

There is no other way to Ind team now , its IPL  which is like the litmus test for selectors. Pradish did well in IPL got selected for Tests and Odis, Rana did well In IPL got into all formats.

Only mukesh kumar was selected to Ind team before the IPL

Thats the reason Ind is not getting proper pacers for Odis and tests :: need bowlers who can bowl good line and length with lively pace over a period of time.

They may or may not succeed but should have been tried in longer formats..

Prasidh only did really well in the last IPL but he was selected to play for India nearly 5 years ago.

5 yrs back was also based on IPL, think he was not even in krntk team, some1 saw him in the nets got him in IPL , he impressed with his speeds and high release and got in Ind side, this time too he made comeback in tests and Odis based on IPL performances

Mukesh too suddenly debuted in all 3 formats after 1 full season with DC. Not before the IPL.

Super disappointing pace by Jhye Richardson. If he wasn’t match fit why was he brought in for his extra pace?? Australia has got no one else??

He probably has lost his pace.

He had shoulder injury some time back , not able to crack up the kind of pace he used to previously. even in bbl only his effort ball clocks 142 kmph

Mukesh Kumar was selected for the Indian national team before playing in the IPL. He received his maiden India call-up in September/October 2022 for the ODI series against South Africa. He was subsequently bought by the Delhi Capitals in the December 2022 IPL auction for the 2023 season

Despite the 2022 call-up, his official international debut across all formats came in July/August 2023 during the tour of West Indies.

This was an odd selection in Ind side, there was no such hype around him he was not like the sand-out bowler, most ppl didnt know even if he was in Ind pipe-line.

Can understand if they would have picked some1 who had stand out season , think Kaverappa made debut that season he was v.good across the format. One can understand this .

may be due to Ganguly connection that time..I dont remember the exact timeline..but Ganguly was in cric asso od Bengal..even bcci chairman..and then in DC at some point of times..did all these coincide with Mukesh selection?

Krish Bhagat playing for pnjb took 3 wkts, he is tallish seam bowling allrounder

the videos I saw of him in the past..his pace was very slow..looked around 125kph..is he bowling faater now? even low 130s will be an improvement..

Have not seen him, but heard he is one of the seam bowling allrounders , he went to NCA for U23 players.

There is some video of him showing bowling and batting , in that he looks sharp. May be some1 who has followed him could tell more.

But expectations have to be realistic here , if specilist bowlers are not 135+ kmph, no seam bowling allrounder will be 135 kmph.

lalit or prince ???

Prince clocked up to 145 kmph on effort balls in IPL last season capable of bowling early 140s kmph

i think lalit yadav is a bowler with some rhythm and is a bit settled in his run up..n he definitely bowls 135 to 145k..prince could be faster on average but lalit may be a shade better with similar speeds.

Are you talking about the Vidarbha pacer ?  He gets decent bounce but the last time I saw him under Speed Guns, he was clocking 130 to 140 k type speeds.
