Aaron couldnt buy a wicket even in warmup matches despite all that speed.Our bowling was fine this match for most part.Then Dhoni spread the fielders :(( Ashwin has poor overseas record.I guess he may replace Jaddu now.But I dont expect anything different from him. These two contributed by saving us from embarassing position.But yeah lets blame them the most :two_thumbs_up:

Even I don't think Aaron is suited for Tests. Pandey & Pankaj are more deserving, but still some pace would be nice at Lord's. Yadav should be called back after his performance today.

Yadav is unlikely to be called for any tests in England. The selectors are going to question Dhoni what he is doing with Aaron, Pankaj and Pandey before placing a request for Yadav.

About if he was deserving or just a Pick based on nepotism....don't see him as a long term investment....yes his innings was good but people are making this seem like this was some kind of a Eden gardens level performance lol

Now we must understand warmups never really give the best idea. Aaron might not have picked wicket but he did not bowl badly like Ishant and BK in first games when he went for 10 fours in 7 overs. So, now I wont say warmup is really great criteria to judge anything. If you want pace then Aaron is needed. Otherwise, Pandey and Pankaj are very similar and they too will by and large are new ball bowlers.

Now critics will try to find some other scapegoat, until he too silcences them. Then another scapegoat and thats how it goes. If selectors go on picking teams by listening to arm chair fans then there will be lot of combinations. Still some will be unhappy for not selecting players they like. It's impossible to keep each and every fans player in playing 11. Enjoy the game and support Indian team whoever is selected.

Good knock but even Anderson scored an 80.

Anderson had to face a tired Indian bowlers. Binny was batting when we were 184-6 trying to avoid a collapse against a hostile reverse swinging spell.. Let's fool ourselves listening to Eng commies. They blamed the pitch for Indian 10-11 batting, while praising ANderson for his batting !

Ganguly also played as an alrounder for Bengal and that did not make him a test alrounder. Binny plays as a batsman who can bowl a bit and bats at 6.

Ganguly bowled more than double the overs than Binny in his FC career, played more but he did not bowl much for India team but bowled a lot of Bengal even after his retirement form test cricket. Their FC bowling records are very much comparable. Binny is a batting alrounder.

I disagree. He needs chance. Played one test and played one good innings.Maybe in next test he wont bat well but perform with the ball.Only time will tell whether we need him or not.So far he has done okay in his only test.

lol one has played 56 FC matches, other has 254 FC matches and you are comparing the number of overs bowled by them? The bolded part, post his retirement he bowled a grand total of 33 overs in 18 matches :--D
