I would not have Dhoni in my test team for batting prowess, but he is the among the best keepers today and people have conveniently forgotten the divided and partitioned team under previous captains. Do not under-estimate his knack of keeping the team united and have no groupism.. (he does play favorites though ! ) Summary, me not a Dhoni hater, not a fan either. Credit where due - this test he did a lot of things right from asking Ishant to do it, standing back for Jaddu and asking Jaddu to counter attack.. Only negative - why pick Binny?

His street smartness may be useful in LOIs but in test cricket Dhoni is a terrible captain. Conventional wisdom is generally more useful in that format. The fact that Cook is even worse is making him look better.
